We loved our stay at Bears Fall Cabin. It was clean, roomy and the beds were comfy. Even thought it was February, we were able to make smores at the fire ring. We've decided to start planning a trip back for next year!

We had such a great time at the Black Bear Lodge cabin. Our group had 9 people and the cabin was a perfect size for us. We loved the seclusion and didn't see any other people on the property while there. We had fires both inside and out and it was so quiet and peaceful. The morning started with hot tub time and we went hiking one of the days. Being able to avoid the trafffic and go straight into the park through the Metcalff Bottoms picnic area was really nice! At night we used the grill, which was in great condition to cook out. The kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the variety of spices that were provided for us. This was by far one of my favorite cabins and we will be back. The only negative was the very early check out time which caused us to hurry out the day we left. Otherwise, this place is amazing!! Be sure to stop by the grocery store down the road (close to Metcalff bottoms and Elvira's) to get a fried apple or peach pie. They are so good!!

Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time our group had at Golden View Lodge. It was the perfect size for our group. Clean and comfortable and the view was beautiful. We are thinking about doing two trips next year! Thank you so much for having this beautiful cabin available for us.

This cabin is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I rented the space for a couples getaway and everyone was pleased. The cabin was very easy to get to and there were places to eat and get groceries nearby. The cabin was clean and stocked with soap, towels, paper plates and other supplies. We all felt very welcome and are looking forward to returning in the summer.

Great cabin, great customer service, great location. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We'll be back!

The cabin was wonderful. I loved the location and having the outside area to roam with my grandgirls. We loved the cave and the waterfall. The cabin was well kept and maintained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Bear Falls cabin. It was beautiful and so comfortable for our stay with family. We enjoyed the large lovely kitchen for preparing meals and gathering in the large living room with the cozy fireplace and wall of windows was fabulous. Thank you!

This is our second time staying in one of Donn's cabins. As expected, the cabin was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. My husband and dad loved exploring the grounds at the cabin. My mom and I enjoyed staying by the fireplace inside (it was in the teens one night!) The cabin was great for my dog too! Im not sure who was more sad to leave! Donn has been great to work with. I look forward to the next trip!

Black Bear Hollow means more to us than the tired old cliche' "Home Away From Home". We vacationed in several of the Black Bear Hollow cabins over the last fifteen years. For the last four years we have utilized Bear Lodge & Bear Falls for our family's Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays. The cabins are spacious, well furnished, clean and have all the amenities that we need to have a great time in the Smokies. The cabins are secluded in a great peaceful & serene setting. As all the kids said as they walked in this year "Hey, I'm Home".

We stayed 2 nights for the 3rd time in 4 years and absolutely love this place. It is very comfortable, well kept, and even was pre-decorated for Christmastime. Our 5 couples (siblings & spouses) each had bedroom with their own bathroom which makes it much like a hotel, and the upstairs great room provides a gathering place for eating, and socializing. Table space plentiful with 2 large tables that can be combined to make a huge one. Road up to cabin just a bit steep but easily traversed slowly and carefully. Dishwasher helps cleanup for meals.

Our stay at Family Memories created wonderful memories for our family. From the onset of our reservation, Donn and Margaret alike, made everything super easy. During our stay at the lovely "Family Memories" cabin, which btw is a super convenient location with beautiful views of mountains and a valley pasture with livestock, we felt like we were being a nuisance with multiple inquiries, but each time we reached out for assistance dealing with the cabin or navigating about the area, we were always met with such a delightfully pleasant and accommodating demeanor. Donn and Margaret are genuinely and truly committed to making their guests’ stay most enjoyable.

My family so enjoyed our Thanksgiving in this beautiful cabin. I cannot say enough about how great it was and how wonderful the owners treated us. We had everything we needed and more. It was close enough to go to either Townsend or Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg for activities. We will definitely be back ! Thanks for everything.

Our family of 6 stayed at Simply Golden for 5 nights and enjoyed our Smoky Mountain vacation. The home was very clean and everything we needed was provided. The location in Wears Valley was perfect.

Our time at Golden View Lodge exceeded every expectation we had. Our family gathered for Thanksgiving and the Lodge was a perfect place for our family. My parents appreciated the parking and ground floor entry to the main floor as we left the downstairs and steps to the younger generation! The kids, ages 25, 25, 26, 23, 21, 21, and 15 loved the pool table and hot tub! The upstairs main living area easily accommodated our extended family of 11. The keyless entry was nice as we didn't have to stop at a rental office on our way in. Donn and Margaret were only a phone call away, if we had needed them. The place was so clean and well cared for we never did have to call. A million thanks! The Farr Family

I have vacationed Gatlinburg yearly for many years. This was the first time staying with Smokey Mountain Golden Cabins and by far was the best visit. I have had. I loved the easy check in and out. I loved the Wears Valley area. This was the best vacation I have had in many years. The cabin was clean, secluded, and quiet. It had great views of the mountain. Out of 5 stars it gets a 6. The cabin was perfect for our family. We loved the seclusion and quiet. The keypad entry made for an easy arrival and departure. The location was an easy drive to restaurants, shopping, the Smoky's and to Gatlinburg.

We had the best time at the "Golden Memories" cabin on our honeymoon. The cabin was very clean and cozy, and Donn and Margaret were available for everything we needed. We never rented a private cabin before and the process with them was very easy! We will highly recommend the cabin to our friends and we will be back!

We had a really nice & peaceful stay at the Bear Lodge. The cabin was nice. It is just far enough away to be very peaceful. And close enough to be very handy to get whatever you need. We will be coming back. The valley was a short drive with plenty of things to see & do.

Every year the most family gets together with some friends also and rent a large cabin to get away from the real world and relax. Bear Falls tell nothing short of what we wanted. Had no complaints at all and would stay here again.

The cabin we stayed at was called Heavens View and it was wonderful. The cabin was clean and beautiful we felt lucky to have had Don tell us about this cabin. A little far from gatlinburg but for us that was no big deal and the view was awesome we will be back thanks Don.

We had the most wonderful time and made so many "family memories!" Donn and Margaret's cabin was perfect for our family - including my 88 year old grandmother who is handicapped. The cabin was easily accessed and clean, with all the amenities you could ever need! We will absolutely be returning every chance we get!

We stayed at golden memories cabin for 4 days an absolutely loved it. Great view very clean and welcoming. Everything worked and was well maintained. Perfect location not far from anything and very peaceful. We were very pleased no complaints an WILL be returning to stay with them again.

We have used Smoky Mountain properties for the last 4 years to book our yearly couples trip. This cabin is perfect. We had 12 adults (6 Couples) and everyone had their own bathroom. There was a lot room and everything was beautiful. We cant wait until next year.

We have visited the Smokey Mountains several time in our 50 years of marriage. We have always stayed in hotels in previous years, but we decided to try a cabin this time. We found the Family Memories just perfect for a stay with our sons and grandchildren Thanks for providing a great place to get away from an everyday routine.

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and perfect in every way! Couldn't ask for more for a romantic getaway. Beautiful view of the mountains and clean and well maintained. Excellent location -- away from the crowds and traffic of the more commercialized areas, but close enough that if you want to head that way, you can. I can't say enough good things. Was everything I had hoped it would be and more!

THIS IS A GREAT CABIN TO STAY IN AND WILL HOLD SEVERAL PEOPLE EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN AND TOOK CARE OF UNLIKE ALOT OF THE CABINS I HAVE STAYED IN. WE ARE TRYING TO GET TOGETHER AND PLAN OUR NEXT VACTION TRIP AND WILL STAY IN THE SAME CABIN IF AVAILABLE BUT WANT MORE DAYS.

We had great time in the cabin. It was exactly what was described to us. Also, we found place we can recommend to our friend and family and place we will be looking forward to visit again in the future.

Such a beautiful cabin I don't know where to begin!! Our 1st trip to the Great Smoky Mtns was totally wonderful beginning with Heaven's View cabin. Beds were really comfy, kitchen had everything we needed for cooking, plenty of towels in each bathroom, super water pressure and soft water to keep our skin nice, hot tub was enjoyable, jazucci felt great, the pool table was fun, living area room had enough space for 10 adults and 5 children. The deck was a place of solitude even with everyone sitting around. Quite a refreshing time with no worries about needing anything because the cabin was so thoughtfully and well equipped! Each room was unique and very tastefully decorated, ready to come again soon!

We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The firepit with the adirondack chairs was our favorite part of the cabin.

We have stayed at this cabin before and several upgrades were done in the interim. A new deck that goes around the side of the cabin to the front of the cabin was a great addition! It was nice to watch the stars and the full moon from the front porch deck at night The fire pit in the back yard was upgraded, a nice touch. The cabin is one level for the bedrooms with a pool table in the lower level. The one level is nice for elderly guests, like us. The hot tub was welcome every day that we were there. This cabin is also very close to Cade's Cove so you can get there early as it fills up very quickly during the day with all the traffic in the park. We will definitely be back again. I almost forgot, the yard is fenced in and a good size, not too big or small, for your fur faced kids. We will definitely be back! Larry, Nancy, Teddy Bear, Maggie Mae

Donn & Margaret, Our three adults and two boys enjoyed your cabin. The boys loved the pool table and the hot tub was a perfect place for the sunset and star gazing. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils and three king beds with plenty of blankets for the cool evenings. Since our party was small we didn't use the two (2) downstairs bunk beds. Conveniently located near the entrance to Cades Cove up high on a ridge in Wears Valley. Thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven!

We had a great time at your cabin this year. It was a first for our family, as we all went together. It was a very accommodating cabin, with large rooms, and well stocked kitchen, and plenty of sleeping area for a big family. It is very close to restaurants, (Paw Paws Catfish Shack) was very good, and they were happy to serve our large group even though the restaurant was so small. Donn and Margaret are awesome hosts and answered all our questions, and were happy to let us check in a little early because the cleaning was done. Thanks again for your kindness and for being gracious hosts! If ever the group is this large again we will definitely come back to this cabin. Oh, I almost forgot, the cabin was very clean as well. Take it from someone that rents a cabin EVERY year, sometimes twice, this was one of the cleanest by far! Thanks again Y'all!!

We were very impressed with our cabin, and were lucky enough to get it at a GREAT price! Loved the view of the mountains in the distance! Great location and easy access to get back to Pigeon Forge. The cabin was secluded, which is exactly what we wanted. We will definitely keep this cabin in mind for our next trip to the smokies!
