We stayed in Bear Falls for our son's wedding. We had a total of 13 people, spanning 3 generations, for the weekend while my husband and I had a couple days by ourselves. The cabin was perfect for the whole situation. I can't recommend this cabin highly enough. We took time to enjoy the hot tub and the fire pit while the kids enjoyed the foosball, air hockey, and pool tables. It was perfect for spending time with family for such a special weekend!

The cabin was very nice. It had everything we needed. We were a little disappointed that the inside fireplace was not in season.

This is our 6th straight year staying with donn and Margaret and we couldn't be happier with the cabin. It was a beautiful cabin in a great location. We had awesome views of the mountains from our deck. The cabin is conveniently located a short ride into Townsend, gatlinburg, and pigeon forge. We will be back again next year.

The coziness of the studio reminds us of our first tiny apartment ????. And the heart shaped tub with room for two is perfect for relaxing after a long drive to TN.. We plan on visiting Golden Memories many more times in the future! We Love It????

Clean, beautiful, peaceful! This cabin was everything and more that we had hoped for! The owners are very personable and made sure we didn't need anything and that we got settled in! It felt like we were staying at a family members house! We also loved that it was pet friendly which was hard to find! We will be back!

We had 11 adults travel to Tennessee for the GSM half marathon. We (obviously) did not know the area Donn and Margaret helped us to make sure we were close to the start and finish. We all had enough space to get up and around. The kitchen and bathrooms were stocked to start us and we had plenty of room for us to cook and all eat together. The cabin was lovely. We had some company in the afternoon, with a bear walking around the back yard. This was very exciting to us and just added fun to our trip. We would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone and everyone. This was perfect for us!

My family of 5 just returned for a week's stay at Bear Lodge Cabin. The cabin is just as described, very clean, and stocked with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We particularly appreciated having "essentials" like a few paper products and coffee already in the cabin when we arrived. The cabin was perfectly located to our areas of interest in the GSMNP and being from the Gulf Coast, the cooler temps and lower humidity were most appreciated. The directions and arrival instructions were clear and easy to follow. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin very much and would recommend staying here to anyone.

Truly enjoyed the 5 star cabin -views were awesome, decor was tasteful, furniture was very comfortable,king beds exceeded expectations, game room was enjoyed by all, fire pit was perfect for s'mores and it was centrally located to the things our family wanted to do. We walked into the wall of windows and all 6 jaws dropped.The master sitting area was perfect for sipping wine and watching the lights on the mountains around us coming on and going off,

Cabin is clean and well decorated. We had a wonderful time shopping, ate at Hillbilly's restaurant for breakfast, driving through Roaring Fork and taking in Dolly's Lumberjack Feud. I highly recommend this cabin. Will stay here again.

The cabin is beautiful, fully furnished. Plenty of room for a large group. The mountain view is wonderful, especially the evenings when storms are on the other side of the mountains - what a lightning show! The area is beautiful - be sure to visit the Titanic Museum. We learned more about the disaster at this museum than another exhibit in Chicago several years ago.

We stayed in this cabin for our honeymoon and it was a great experience! Everything was clean when we got there and it looked just like the pictures. Everything was in running order and there were no surprises. The cabin is somewhat secluded which is nice, and close to many local restaurants and attractions and is even a short drive to Pigeon Forge. We also liked that it was very close to one of the few entrances into the Smoky Mountain National Park. We would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone who is considering!

We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as described. We enjoyed playing pool and soaking in the hot tub every night. The setting is peaceful. The location was great for riding our motorcycles.

We (a family of 6) had a great week long stay. The cabin was fabulous. Large but cozy and cute but not cheesy. The beds are super comfortable and everything was clean. We had one small issue that was QUICKLY resolved by the owners. They are very responsive and friendly. We Would recommend this cabin highly. Our only negative would be that we were traveling with a 2 year old and there are lots of stairs to be mindful of...

I want to first thank Donn and Margaret Tisch for being so helpful. When you call they are there ready and willing to help. We all appreciated you both. Our stay at the cabin was all that we asked for and more. The cabin was clean, roomy and plenty of items there for our use. The other thing we loved about this cabin was it was far enough away to enjoy the serenity of the mountains but close enough to Peigon Forge and Gatlinburg. This is defiantly a place we will return to.

My husband and I took a trip to the Smokey Mountains to celebrate our 40th. anniversary. Your cabin was so delightful and had a beautiful view of the mountains. It was so much better than staying in a hotel! The cabin was spacious and had everything one would need. It would be a beautiful place to stay in the fall to view the changing colors. The cabin was everything we had hoped, well stocked, incredible view, clean, great beds. We had one small problem with a toilet and someone came right out to take care of it. I would highly recommend this cabin. I had spend probably 60+ hours researching cabins and was completely satisfied.

We absolutely loved our stay at your cabin in the Smokey Mountains. It felt like a long lost friend had finally come home the minute we walked in the door! The cabin is beautiful and spotlessly clean with large open porches to sit, relax and enjoy the beautiful views. It is situated between Townsend and Pigeon Forge and a stones throw away from the beautiful Smokey Mountains! We would highly recommend staying at Black Bear Hollow and are happily making plans to return next year!!

A beautiful cabin nestled in Wears Valley. We enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect atmosphere for a romantic getaway!

I consider myself a connoisseur of rental properties in the Smoky Moutains having rented many over the years. Donn and Margaret always answered questions in a quick and timely manner which is very important when trying to accomadate a large group. First and foremost, Golden View Lodge was immaculate, which literally is the first thing I look at when walking into a chalet. The kitchen was well-stocked, we never reached for something that we did not find. The grill was in great shape and in working order. We did not use the Hot Tub, only because it was in the high 90's when we were there, and not cooling down much in the evening. Golden View Lodge is surrounded in decks with plenty of chairs to admire the incredible views! There is also a surprised bonus of an unique firepit that also has plenty of chairs. Importantly, the drive and driveway are easy to navigate with plenty of level parking. Definitely would rent from Donn and Margaret in the future, and give Golden View Lodge 5 stars.

It was a beautiful cabin and the sunsets are breathtaking. We couldn't wait to see them each day.

We found our stay in this lovely little cabin very enjoyable and relaxing. It was the perfect place to stay for hiking in the Smokies since the park is literally 5 minutes away. The cabin was beautiful and very well-equipped with everything we needed including a wonderful hot tub to relax in after long hikes. There is a lovely view of the mountains from the back porch making it the perfect place for morning coffee. Don & Margaret are great and always available if you need anything. We will definitely stay here again!

Recently my family of 15 and I had the pleasure to stay in Heaven's View Cabin and I would highly recommend this cabin for a family retreat. It is a beautiful cabin equipped with every necessity that a large group would need from dishes, to bedrooms , to showers. The view from the main deck is magnificent, even during stormy weather of which we had our share. The setting of the cabin lends to a feeling of isolation yet Townsend and Wears Valley are just minutes away. My favorite part was the time with our family sharing love and laughter in this beautiful home. If we are ever given the opportunity to visit the Smokies again with all our children and grandchildren, Heaven's View is where I would want to stay.

My family recently stayed 9 days in the "family memories " cabin and it wasn't long enough! We had the best time in the beautiful Smoky Mountains. The views from the front porch were unforgettable, and so many things to do in town. Don't miss Dollywood, Goats on the Roof, Elvira's for breakfast (right down the road) and The Island in Pigeon Forge. Great time, can't wait to come back to our "home away from home" in Wears Valley. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bear Falls! The cabin was very clean and spacious and easily accommodated our family of 12. My dad, brothers and nephew really enjoyed the pool table. This was our first visit to the Smoky Mountains but it will not be our last. Thanks so much for a memorable vacation. God bless.

The special touches of the rocking chairs for us to sit outside and take in the beauty of God's creation as well as the large windows inside the living room to take in the spectacular views allowed us to be surrounded by God's peace. Family Memories Cabin is in a great location between Pigeon Forge and Townsend. Our family of 5 adults and 3 children all slept comfortably. The kitchen is well-equipped. The hot tub is HUGE! The pool and little fishing pond down the street is a nice extra, as well. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

Our family loves this location!!! It is easy driving distance to both Pigeon Forge and Townsend, but feels much more remote. I love the quiet! The cabin itself was comfortable and true to its online promises. We had a tiny problem with the lock on the door initially, but one quick phone call yielded an immediate response. We also received a follow-up phone call the next morning. Unlike some places we've stayed, we felt good about the grandkids playing in the hot tub. They thoroughly enjoyed that, as well as the jacuzzi. I've already recommended SMGC to friends. We will be back!

We had an amazing time staying in the Bear Lodge cabin! The place was in excellent condition and looked just like the pictures. We will definitely be coming back for our next Smoky Mountain trip. We particularly enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. The weather was excellent and the area is simply beautiful. 5 stars!
