Fantastic Fenton Inn
Upon arriving my wife and I were greeted by Lilia, she was so nice and gave us a complete tour of the complex. We were immediately made to feel like we were friends and not just guests. The Inn is a masterpiece creating the atmosphere of a little town in Europe but with all the modern facilities of a 5 star hotel. The views of the mountains are breathtaking adding to the total feel of being in another country. The breakfast was amazing with once again amazing views of the mountains and served up by amazing Inn Keepers Lilia and Will. The location is awesome with short car rides to several breweries and Wintergreen Ski resort. We are already planning our next trip to the Fenton Inn and strongly recommend you do likewise, you will not regret it.

Fenton Inn--Great Find!
My husband and I stayed at the Fenton Inn while exploring the Wintergreen area. The inn is lovely, with beautiful woodwork in every room. It is obvious that this has been a labor of love for Will and Lilia. Having lived in Europe for several years, we felt like we had been transported back to Germany with their charming hotels. Our room was large, clean and had all the amenities we would have expected. The breakfast that was included was delicious with a broad variety of food and beverages. I especially liked the homemade granola! We did not take advantage of the hot tub, movie room or work out room; however, the movie room looked like a fun place to hang out with family and watch a favorite movie. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful
I sekected this property because it looked very different and I like to try different things. I was pleasantly surprised by the detail of everything, from the handmade doors to each room that all had a different design, to the big bay windows overlooking the mountains. The bed and sheets were amazing and the 2 shower heads a surprise! The innkeepers were so nice and welcoming, all in all a great stay, will definitely go back.

Lovely weekend
We had a wonderful weekend at the Fenton Inn! Wilhelm's house was spacious and very comfortable. We loved the Bavarian village atmosphere and the woodwork doors, tables, and headboards were gorgeous. Breakfast in the bakery was amazing both days! Such a unique and beautiful place. We look forward to returning.

Lovely stopover
What a lovely hotel and location close to Wintergreen and Blue Ridge Parkway. Our hosts made us feel so welcome and were keen to show us all the work that had been put into building and creating their Inn. Everything was set to a high standard. Lovely breakfast. No evening meals but a super brewery was closeby which served food.

Absolutely Charming!
We booked this location for a girls' getaway overnight to do some winery tours. The pictures of this place on line simply do not do it justice. You quite literally feel like you're strolling a street in Europe. I can't imagine what it's like in winter with snow. The detail work and craftsmanship of the build is unsurpassed and there's always something new to look at when you're roaming the halls. Will did all of the work himself and there is a new section build currently underway. They plan to offer weekend courses to make your woodworking project to take with you in the new section. Lilia worked tirelessly to make sure the rooms are very clean and she has put a lot of care into clean eating as well - low cal, gluten free options that taste delicious were plentiful (try the granola - it won't disappoint!). We spent some time on our last day talking with Will and Lilia and they were so fun! Knowledgeable about the area, they had great recommendations on places to visit on our way home. While no one in our party was a stranger to the winery trail, you always learn something new to explore from the locals. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone who is looking to getaway for a weekend, a week, or just a night! They also have business facilities for those smaller companies who are in need of a private spot for a corporate retreat. I'm so glad to have met these folks and we will be returning soon!

We went for a quick weekend at the Fenton Inn and were blown away by the facility and hospitality. The building is beautiful - you will really feel you have escaped to an enchanted hideaway in the mountains - and the hospitality could not have been better. We can't wait to go back!

Perfect Mini-Honeymoon!
My husband and I spent our first weekend as a married couple at Fenton Inn and the stay was absolutely perfect. We stayed in the Swallow's Nest room and it was gorgeous! The view of the mountains is breathtaking and we had our own balcony where we could drink our coffee and enjoy the views in privacy. Will and Lilia are great company and the breakfast each morning was delicious! The Fenton Inn is in the perfect location - we visited Crabtree Falls, Wintergreen, and a few of the local breweries. I would recommend this place to anyone - especially if you're looking for a romantic getaway!

Location, Innkeepers, Room, Breakfast - All Superb
My husband and I (in our 60s) had a delightful stay at the Fenton Inn. It is located on a beautiful mountainside close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. There is a terraced outdoor area for sitting and relaxing with gorgeous scenery. The inn itself is gorgeous, with much detailed, hand-wrought woodwork. Our beds were very comfortable with excellent quality linens. Large, soft towels and upscale toiletries were in the bath. Breakfast included a variety of choices and was different each morning. All tasty, not your cookie cutter type of food, and homemade. There are several nice restaurants down the mountain, about 5 or 6 miles away. Our hosts aimed to please and we enjoyed talking to Will and Lilia. We highly recommend the Fenton Inn.

Absolutely magical place to stay
This property is beautiful. The setting is stunning. My family and I felt like we were entering another world when we stepped out of the car, treated to a personal tour of the grounds and the amazing woodwork and special touches of the property. We were looking for a unique stay on our halfway point to the coast and we found it. It was so amazing that no one wanted to leave and move on. We are already booking our next stay!

More Than We Could've Asked
Will and Lilia made our stay incredible! The room and facilities were spotless, comfortable and filled with character and charm. Each sight you see at the Fenton Inn has a story behind it and Will and Lilia are more than happy to share that story with you. Beautiful views from every location at the Inn and our room, The Swallow's Nest, was far and away the most stunning room my wife and I have stayed in. Breakfast is a treat unto itself with views, a balcony to enjoy and something new and fresh each day to prepare you for the day of exploring the Blue Ridge Mountains. Lilia is a wonderful cook! If you're looking for a special place to stay in the mountains and retreat from the average the Fenton Inn is where it is at. And don't forget to say hi to Puma when if you see him. He's one friendly outdoors kitty cat.

An exceptional B and B
The Fenton Inn is a magical place to unplug and indulge your senses. . . Smell the freshly hewn wood; mountain air; coffee anytime you want it See the beauty of natural wood crafted doors, floors, and furnishings; and vistas of trees – oaks, pines, poplars, chestnuts. See the deer in the morning, mountains in the day, and the stars at night. Hear the quiet, the rustle in the woods, and the nighthawks Feel the soothing waters of the hot tub; the coziness of the spa robes, the smooth sheets; Lillia and Will’s warm reception Taste fresh eggs, sausage rolls with apple, homemade granola, fresh seasonal fruit Go! You deserve to enjoy the feasts

Just lovely! We could not have asked for more. Will & Lilia were warm, friendly & informative of the area- with some great suggestions of things to do and see. The intricate woodworking details were amazing something you need to see to fully appreciate. To wake up each morning to those views- incredible, we never closed the blinds! We also enjoyed the couples massage Sunday morning which I would highly recommend. The food, linens and hospitality all top notch, so happy we chose to stay here!

Very grateful
I had the privilege of staying in the butterfly room. Being in the room and looking at all the wood work that Will has done by hand was amazing. You didn't want to leave the room because from the ceiling to the floor there was so much to see. And with the beauty of the furnishings that Lilia and her eye for excellence had place all in the right places it was just amazing. I felt like a little child amazed by all the doors, windows, tables, beds and benches just to name a few of the things that's a must see.The tour of the village is just so amazing. The theater, ping pong table, the hot tub. Lilia's store that has must buy items. The breakfast was delicious. They are two gifted people that together have an amazing vision. A place you never want to leave and can't wait to get back to. Thank you Will and Lilia for excellence. Can't wait to visit again

A Wonderful Weekend Getaway
My fiancé and I recently stayed at the Fenton Inn in the Captain's Quarters. The Inn was absolutely stunning. There are many intricate design details that are not evident in the photos on the website. The woodwork throughout the establishment is beautiful, and the views are amazing. Will and Lilia were warm and inviting. They were knowledgeable about the area and were able to direct us to many trails and activities. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time with them, and we plan on making The Fenton Inn an annual getaway. Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Wonderful Bed & Breakfast
My husband and I had a delightful stay. Our room was beautiful with all of it's unique woodwork and mountain scenery. The room was very clean and the sheets and towels were super soft. We both enjoyed the delicious breakfast, including the real maple syrup and the view from the dinning room was spectacular. The innkeeps, Will and Lilia were very friendly and helpful. Another thing that I really enjoyed was playing ping pong. We will definitely go back, hopefully for a longer stay.

Fenton Inn
I booked a stay for a weekend trip with my wife and in laws, and we were extremely impressed. The inn is absolutely beautiful. The wood working that the owner, Will, completed is borderline mind blowing. I have never personally seen anything like it, and at every turn there's another example of his amazing skill on display. When I originally made my reservation, I did not realize that there is a theater, hot tub, and a PING PONG table on site! This only added to our enjoyment. Beds were very nice. Slept like a King. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and included health conscious options. This Inn is also conveniently located a stone's throw (3/10's of a mile I believe. Maybe less.) From Wintergreen's entrance. I highly recommend a stay at the Fenton Inn.

Dreamy Vacation
My husband and I needed a break from family/dog drama. The Fenton Inn was the most dreamy bed and breakfast, of course I have never stayed at a B&B, so me personally it was "Wonderful". I recommend to anyone who would love to see views of the mountains and get a breath of fresh air. The Room was EXCELLENT, the owners were like our FAMILY, they are the best and made sure our stay was one to remember! The Wood Carvings were overwhelming and gorgeous, the Breakfast was OUTSTANDING, made sure before we departed to get recipes. We will be visiting again sometime soon!!!

Extroadinary Getaway
What a BEAUTIFULLY decorated inn, first and foremost. By far the cleanest lodging my husband and I have yet to experience - not a speck of dirt to be found! Spacious rooms, welcoming atmosphere, exquisite definition of woodwork throughout, romantically secluded yet small-family friendly, delicious breakfast (extensive variety which varied each day) and extremely kind/hospitable innkeepers that make you feel like family. Conveniently, you can walk outside to see the entrance of Wintergreen through the trees or just several miles down the road are local breweries/cideries/vineyards. The Hummingbird Room was the perfect choice for us because of the oversized porcelain bath tub as well as the modernized steam shower - what a treat each of those were to enjoy! Very quaint reading nook which provided extra design as well as relaxation. Definitely utilized the gas fireplace overlooking the MOST comfortable king bed we've ever had the pleasure of sleeping on. The mini fridge offered us convenience as we stored our locally bought brews and wines, along with bottled waters that were provided. Not one complaint throughout our 3-night stay and would DEFINITELY recommend to friends/family!
