How to Set Up ReservationKey with Your Website | Payments, Tours, and Booking Integration Demo

How to connect your ReservationKey booking system to your website — including handling payments, guest reservations, and offering add-on activities or tours.

Website Integration and Offline Payments Overview

This guide provides an overview of how to connect your website to ReservationKey, handle payments (including offline and Booking.com virtual cards), and add optional services such as tours or airport transfers. The example shown is based on a client in Morocco using similar features.

Overview

ReservationKey can integrate with any website builder — including Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, or other platforms. Your ReservationKey booking page is hosted securely on our servers and can be linked directly from any “Book Now” or “Reserve” button on your website.

Offline Payment Method

For countries where online payment gateways are not available or practical, you can use ReservationKey’s offline payment option to collect and process credit card information manually.

How Offline Payments Work

This approach allows you to accept reservations securely without needing to connect directly to an online payment processor.

Example: Booking.com Virtual Cards

For reservations that come through Booking.com, the system provides a virtual credit card. You can use this card to collect payment manually via your preferred payment processor. The virtual card information appears in the Reservation Details section, just like any other stored card number.

Linking ReservationKey to Your Website

To connect your website to your ReservationKey booking page:

  1. Create a “Book Now” or “Reserve” button on your website.
  2. Link it to your hosted ReservationKey booking page URL (for example, https://www.reservationkey.com/youraccount/availability).
  3. Guests will then be taken to your ReservationKey booking page where they can select dates, view available rooms, and complete their reservation.

This connection works the same way regardless of which website builder you use (Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.).

Booking Page Example

On your ReservationKey booking page, guests can:

Currency can be displayed in any format you choose — for example, euros, dollars, or your local currency.

Adding Tours and Activities

While ReservationKey does not currently include a dedicated tour-booking system, you can easily offer tours or activities using the Items for Sale feature.

To add tours or extra services:

  1. Go to your Items for Sale settings in ReservationKey.
  2. Add each activity or service (for example, Atlas Mountains Tour or Airport Transfer).
  3. Guests will see these options on your booking page and can select them during the reservation process.

Each selected item is added automatically to the guest’s reservation summary and total price. This is ideal for offering upgrades, transportation, or sightseeing packages alongside accommodations.

Tracking Tour Availability

If you need to manage tour dates and availability separately, you can set up tours as independent units within ReservationKey. However, for most businesses, using them as items for sale is the simplest approach.

Guest Payment Flow

Here’s how the payment section works on your booking page:
