Channex Settings Overview

This guide explains how to configure and manage your Channex channel manager connection within ReservationKey. From rate and availability syncing to stop-sell rules and OTA connection mapping, this page covers all key features available under the Channex integration settings.

Accessing Channex Settings

To open your Channex configuration:

1. Go to the Settings tab.
2. Click External Connections.
3. Locate your Channex connection and click into it.
4. Select Properties and Mapping and choose your property.

Syncing Rates and Availability

Two key buttons appear at the top of your Channex property settings:

• Sync Rates — Manually pushes your current rate information to the connected OTA channels.
• Sync Availability — Manually pushes your latest availability updates.

These updates are usually sent automatically when you modify rates or availability in ReservationKey. However, you can use these buttons anytime to force an immediate sync. The same options are available by clicking the Channel Status button from the overview page, where you can also send a full sync and verify that all updates show as Successful.

Property Details

Within the property settings, you can configure several important details:

• Cutoff Settings: Choose whether to allow same-day bookings or apply a cutoff (for example, “No Reservations Today”).
• Booking Range: Define how far in advance guests can make reservations.
• Reservation Page: Select which reservation page should be associated with the Channex connection.

Other fields on this screen populate automatically from your ReservationKey account settings.

Room Types and Rate Plans

To link your ReservationKey rooms to your OTA listings:

1. Open the Room Types and Rate Plans section.
2. Click Add Room Type.
3. Choose whether to add rooms one-to-one or by room type.
4. Select the appropriate rate plan for each room type and click Save.

Inventory Section

The Inventory section displays your rates and availability calendar as transmitted to Channex. Here you can:

• Click the blue paperclip icon to see all connected channels for a room and their synced rates and availability.
• Use filters to review Minimum Night Stay or Arrival Restrictions.
• Click All Restrictions to see every active restriction, useful for troubleshooting.

Stop Sell Settings

A Stop Sell allows you to prevent specific dates from being available on OTA channels. To enable or disable stop sell:

1. Click Actions ? Bulk Update.
2. Enter the Start Date and End Date.
3. Select applicable Days of the Week.
4. Choose Stop Sell and set it to On.
5. Select the Rate Plans to apply the stop sell to and click Save.

To remove a stop sell, follow the same steps but toggle Stop Sell to Off.

Editing Rates in the Inventory

While you can technically edit rates directly in the Inventory section, these changes will not persist — they will be overwritten during the next sync. Rates, minimum stays, and availability should always be managed in ReservationKey to ensure accuracy.

Bookings Section

The Bookings section lists all reservations imported from your connected OTA channels such as Booking.com, Expedia, and VRBO.

• Each entry shows the OTA source and current status.
• Click View for detailed information about any booking.
• If a reservation does not appear on your ReservationKey calendar, use the Resend Latest Revision button to push it back into your system.

Channel Connections

All connected OTA channels appear under the Channels section. From here, you can:

• Click Create to add a new channel connection and follow the prompts.
• Click Actions ? Edit to adjust settings for existing channels.
• Modify Rate Modifiers to increase or decrease prices sent to a specific OTA (for example, increase Airbnb rates by 3%).

Edit Settings

Under Edit Settings for the Channex connection, you can define how ReservationKey handles incoming OTA reservations:

• Select which Status new OTA reservations should use when imported.
• Assign unique statuses for different channels (e.g., “Airbnb,” “Booking.com,” etc.).
• Choose which Email Schedule applies to each OTA connection.
• Specify a Payment Page for processing guest payments.

The Channex integration centralizes rate, availability, and reservation synchronization between ReservationKey and your OTA channels. Most updates occur automatically, but you can manually sync, adjust modifiers, manage stop-sell dates, and verify bookings directly within the Channex settings panel. Proper configuration ensures smooth and accurate communication between your property and connected channels like Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, and Expedia.
