How to Use Channex Settings in ReservationKey Sync Rates, Availability, and OTA Connections

Channex Settings Overview

This guide explains how to configure and manage your Channex channel manager connection within ReservationKey. From rate and availability syncing to stop-sell rules and OTA connection mapping, this page covers all key features available under the Channex integration settings.

Accessing Channex Settings

To open your Channex configuration:

  1. Go to the Settings tab.
  2. Click External Connections.
  3. Locate your Channex connection and click into it.
  4. Select Properties and Mapping and choose your property.

Syncing Rates and Availability

Two key buttons appear at the top of your Channex property settings:

These updates are usually sent automatically when you modify rates or availability in ReservationKey. However, you can use these buttons anytime to force an immediate sync. The same options are available by clicking the Channel Status button from the overview page, where you can also send a full sync and verify that all updates show as Successful.

Room Types and Rate Plans

To link your ReservationKey rooms to your OTA listings:

  1. Open the Room Types and Rate Plans section.
  2. Click Add Room Type.
  3. Choose whether to add rooms one-to-one or by room type.
  4. Select the appropriate rate plan for each room type and click Save.

Inventory Section

The Inventory section displays your rates and availability calendar as transmitted to Channex. Here you can:

Stop Sell Settings

A Stop Sell allows you to prevent specific dates from being available on OTA channels. To enable or disable stop sell:

  1. Click Actions ? Bulk Update.
  2. Enter the Start Date and End Date.
  3. Select applicable Days of the Week.
  4. Choose Stop Sell and set it to On.
  5. Select the Rate Plans to apply the stop sell to and click Save.

To remove a stop sell, follow the same steps but toggle Stop Sell to Off.

Editing Rates in the Inventory

While you can technically edit rates directly in the Inventory section, these changes will not persist — they will be overwritten during the next sync. Rates, minimum stays, and availability should always be managed in ReservationKey to ensure accuracy.

Bookings Section

The Bookings section lists all reservations imported from your connected OTA channels such as Booking.com, Expedia, and VRBO.

All connected OTA channels appear under the Channels section. From here, you can:
