Once text messaging is enabled for your account, a chat icon will appear in the upper right corner of the ReservationKey header. This icon allows you to quickly view and reply to guest text messages directly from anywhere in the system.
The chat icon displays a number indicating how many new or unread messages you have received. For example, if the icon shows “2,” this means there are two new incoming messages waiting to be viewed.
Clicking on the chat icon opens the Chat Window.
In the Chat Window, the newest messages appear at the top:
To view or reply to a specific message thread, click on the conversation. Once opened, the new message count on the icon will decrease, reflecting that those messages have been read.
Within a conversation, you can type directly into the message box to respond to the guest. Messages sent from this window are transmitted immediately through the text messaging system.

This view allows you to continue the conversation directly within the reservation context.
To switch between different message threads, expand the chat section at the top of the window. From there, you can quickly move between conversations with multiple guests or reservations.
