Using Icons or Stars Next to Guest Names

ReservationKey allows you to display small icons or stars next to guest names on the calendar. This feature is helpful for marking special notes, reminders, or statuses for specific reservations.

Step 1: Add Icons to a Reservation

1. Click into a reservation on your calendar.
2. In the reservation details, locate the section for Icons / Stars.
3. Select one or more icons to assign to this reservation.
4. Click Save.

Once saved, return to the Calendar view — you’ll see the selected icon(s) appear next to the guest’s name.

Step 2: Customize Available Icons

1. Go to the Settings tab.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Expand the Reservation Details section.
4. Choose which icons you want to make available for use.
5. For each icon, you can enter a Label — this text appears when hovering over the icon.
6. Click Save Changes.

Step 3: Viewing Icon Labels

Hover over any icon on the calendar or in the reservation to see its label. For example, if the purple question mark icon’s label is set to “Check this out”, hovering your mouse over the icon will display that message as a tooltip.

Tips

• Use different icons or colors to represent specific meanings, such as maintenance notes, VIP guests, or special requests.
• You can update icon availability and labels at any time under Settings → Preferences → Reservation Details.

This feature makes it easy to visually identify important details about reservations at a glance, directly from your calendar view.
