User Permissions
User permissions allow you to control which parts of ReservationKey each user can access. This is useful if you have staff members who should only see certain rooms or specific sections of the system.
Step 1: Open User Settings
- Click the Settings tab.
- Select Users.
- Click Add User to create a new user, or click into an existing user to edit.
Step 2: Set Permissions
- Expand the User Permissions section.
- Select which parts of the system the user is allowed to access.
- For any section you don’t want them to see, click None.
- To restrict specific sub-tabs (for example, in the Website tab), uncheck the boxes for sections they shouldn’t view.
You can also choose whether the user can:
- View only (no editing privileges)
- See only certain reservation statuses
- Access only specific properties or units
Step 3: Configure Optional Restrictions
Additional options include:
- Limit reservations — show only reservations created by this user.
- Hide header/footer links — remove selected system shortcuts from the interface.
- Divider lines — use visual dividers to separate sections in the user interface (helpful for organization).
Step 4: Save and Review Access
- After selecting the appropriate permissions, click Save Changes.
- Have the user log in to verify that they can only see the intended sections.
Summary
- Go to Settings → Users.
- Edit or create a user and expand User Permissions.
- Select which tabs, sub-tabs, and rooms they can access.
- Optionally restrict reservations, hide links, or assign property-specific permissions.
- Click Save Changes to apply the new access rules.
You can add as many users as needed, each with custom permissions tailored to their role within your organization.
