How to set a minimum stay within a Rate Plan.

Setting a Minimum Stay Requirement

ReservationKey allows you to define a minimum stay requirement within your rate plans. This ensures that guests can only book a reservation if it meets your minimum night requirement for specific dates or days of the week.

Step 1: Open Your Rate Plan

  1. Go to the Properties tab.
  2. Click Rate Plans.
  3. Select the rate plan you want to edit.

Step 2: Edit a Rate Rule

  1. Click into the Rate Rule associated with that plan.
  2. Scroll down and expand the section labeled Stay Requirements.

Step 3: Set the Minimum Stay

  1. Enter the number of nights for your minimum stay (e.g., 3 for a 3-night minimum).
  2. Select the specific nights of the week this rule applies to (for example, weekends).
  3. Click Save Changes to apply the setting.

Tip: You can create different rate rules for different seasons if your minimum stay varies by time of year.

Step 4: Viewing Minimum Stays on the Calendar

Once saved, go to the Reservation Manager (calendar view) to confirm the settings.

Minimum stay requirements appear as an orange number on the affected dates. For example, a “3” indicates a three-night minimum for those nights.

Summary

By setting a minimum stay, you can ensure longer bookings during busy periods, weekends, or holidays.
