How do I edit my rates?

Editing Rates

You can create, edit, or duplicate rate plans in ReservationKey to control pricing, minimum stays, and other rate-related settings for your units.

Step 1: Access Rate Plans

  1. Go to the Properties tab.
  2. Select Rate Plans.

Here, you will see a list of your existing rate plans. You can either edit an existing plan or create a new one.

Step 2: Edit or Add a Rate Plan

  1. Click the name of an existing rate plan to edit it, or click Add Plan to create a new one.
  2. Within the plan, click Add Rate Rule to create a new rule or select an existing one to modify.

Note: Rate rules should not overlap in date range. Each rule defines a unique pricing period (e.g., by season or year).

Step 3: Duplicating a Rate Rule

If you want to reuse a rate rule (for example, for a new year), you can duplicate it easily:

  1. Select the rule you want to duplicate by checking its box.
  2. Click Duplicate.
  3. Update the Start Date and End Date to the new period (e.g., increase the year by one).
  4. Click Save Changes.

This creates a new rate rule with the same prices and settings as the original.

Step 4: Editing Rates

Once inside a rate rule, you can edit prices and other details:

If you want to enter weekly rates instead of daily rates, select the Weekly option.

Step 5: Additional Rate Settings

You can further customize each rate rule by adding:

Step 6: Link Units and Taxes

Each rate plan must be linked to the units and taxes that apply:

  1. In the rate plan settings, select which Units should use this rate plan.
  2. Select the appropriate Taxes that apply to the plan.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Summary

This process ensures your rates are accurate, easy to maintain, and automatically applied to the correct rooms and reservation pages.
