Changing the Order of Rooms

The order in which rooms appear on your ReservationKey booking page is based on the sequence they were added to the system or the order value set in each room’s settings. You can adjust this order using several different methods.

Step 1: Access the Rooms List

1. Go to the Properties tab.
2. Click Rooms / Units.

Option 1: Drag and Drop to Reorder

This is the quickest way to adjust room order.

1. In the Rooms/Units list, locate the room you want to move.
2. Click and hold the room name, then drag it up or down to the desired position.
3. Release the mouse to drop the room into its new order position.

Example: Drag “Blue Haven Room” from position #4 to position #1 to make it appear first on your reservation page.

Option 2: Set Sort Order Manually

1. Click the name of the room you want to reorder.
2. Scroll down to the Additional Settings section.
3. Find the field labeled Sort Order.
4. Enter a numerical value (e.g., 1 for the first room, 2 for the second, etc.).
5. Click Save Changes.

Rooms are sorted by this number in ascending order (lowest number appears first).

Option 3: Bulk Edit Sort Order

If you want to adjust the order for multiple rooms at once:

1. From the Rooms/Units list, check the box next to each room you want to update.
2. Click Edit to open the bulk edit view.
3. Locate the Sort Order column.
4. Enter the desired order numbers for each room.
5. Click Save Changes when finished.

Step 2: Verify the Display Order

The room order you set here is also used for your public reservation page. Rooms will appear in the same sequence you define within the Rooms/Units settings.

Optional: Display Rooms in Random Order

If you prefer that rooms appear in a random order each time a guest views your booking page:

1. Go to the Website tab → Reservation Pages.
2. Click into your reservation page settings.
3. Scroll to the Rooms/Units section.
4. Check the box labeled Do search display in random order.
5. Click Save.
