How to change the default text on public reservation pages.

Customizing Default Text on Reservation Pages

Most of the default text that appears on your ReservationKey booking pages can be changed using the Custom Text feature. This includes labels, buttons, and system-generated text such as “Search,” “Additional Items,” or “Multi-Night Discount.”

What Is Custom Text?

“Default text” refers to any wording that comes pre-programmed within the system. For example, you might want to change the phrase “Multi-Night Discount” to read “10% Discount Special.”

The Custom Text section lets you override any of these defaults with your own custom wording.

Step 1: Add a New Custom Text Set

  1. Go to the Website tab.
  2. Select Custom Text.
  3. Click Add Custom Text Set.
  4. For most cases, leave the default option as Public Reservation Page and click Continue.

Step 2: Modify the Text You Want to Change

  1. Once the list of text options loads, locate the item you wish to change. The list is arranged alphabetically in the left-hand column.
  2. Find the label you want to update (for example, “Multi-Night Discount”).
  3. In the right-hand column, type your replacement text (for example, “10% Discount Special”).
  4. Scroll to the bottom and click Save Changes.

Step 3: Link the Custom Text Set to Your Reservation Page

  1. Go to Website → Reservation Pages.
  2. Click into the reservation page you want to customize.
  3. Select the Text tab within the page settings.
  4. Under Custom Text Set, choose the set you just created.
  5. Click Save.

Step 4: Preview Your Changes

  1. Open your public reservation page in a browser.
  2. Click Search to reload the page.
  3. Verify that your updated text now appears in place of the old default.
Example: “10% Discount Special” now displays instead of “Multi-Night Discount.”
