Adding Discount Codes

Discount codes let you offer special deals to guests, such as percentage or fixed-amount discounts, that can be entered directly on your online booking page. You can create as many codes as you like and assign them to specific reservation pages.

Step 1: Create a New Discount Code

1. Go to the Website tab.
2. Click Discount Codes.
3. Click Add Discount Code.

Step 2: Enter Basic Details

1. Description — Type a short internal description, such as “Fall Special 10%.”
2. Code — Enter the exact code guests will type during checkout (e.g., FALL10).
3. Amount — Enter the discount value (for example, 10).
4. Type — Choose whether the discount is a Percentage or a Fixed Dollar Amount.
5. Reservation Page — Select which online booking page(s) this code can be used on.

Step 3: Configure Restrictions (Optional)

Click the Advanced Settings section if you want to limit when or how the code can be used — for example:

• Valid date range
• Minimum stay length
• Maximum number of uses
• Specific room or rate plan restrictions

In most cases, these advanced restrictions are not required.

Step 4: Save and Test

1. Click Save Changes.
2. Open your Reservation Page in a browser.
3. Select a few dates and look for the field labeled Optional Discount Code.
4. Enter your code (e.g., FALL10) and click or tap outside the field to validate.

If the code is valid, the total rate will automatically be updated to reflect the discount (e.g., “10% off”).

Step 5: Make the Discount Visible (Optional)

If you want guests to know about available codes directly on your page:

1. Go to Website → Website Messages.
2. Edit the Page Header message linked to your reservation page.
3. Add text such as “Enter code FALL10 to receive 10% off!”
4. Click Save Changes and refresh your reservation page.

The message will now appear at the top of your booking page.

Summary

Once your discount code is created and linked to a reservation page, guests can enter it during booking to automatically apply the discount. You can manage, edit, or remove codes anytime under the Website → Discount Codes section.
