ReservationKey integrates with Yapstone (also known as VacationRentPayment) to allow secure online credit card processing for vacation rentals and similar businesses. Follow the steps below to connect your Yapstone account to ReservationKey.
Once saved, Yapstone will be set up as your payment processor for both online and internal reservations.
Your Username, Password, and Property Code are issued directly by Yapstone. If you don’t already have these details, contact your Yapstone account representative or email Yapstone Support.
ReservationKey frequently works with Yapstone representative Tony Maskull. You can ask him or your account manager to send your credentials directly to ReservationKey for setup.
Once you have your credentials, return to the Payment Methods section and enter them into the appropriate fields.
Next, decide how much of a deposit you want to collect when guests book online:
If you collect a zero deposit, ReservationKey will still save the guest’s card securely with Yapstone. You can later charge the card manually from the reservation.
Once a card is saved in the system, you can manage payments directly from the Payments section within each reservation:
Payments are processed securely through Yapstone, and transaction details are stored in both ReservationKey and your Yapstone dashboard.
To issue a refund or partial refund, open the reservation’s Payments section and use the Refund option next to the relevant charge. Refunds are processed through Yapstone and will appear in your Yapstone account history.
Yapstone provides an integrated, secure, and compliant way to process guest payments directly through ReservationKey. After entering your credentials and adjusting your payment schedule, you can begin charging and managing payments immediately.
If you need assistance with credentials or setup, contact your Yapstone account representative or ReservationKey support for help.
