Using iCal Links to Sync Calendars

ReservationKey allows you to easily synchronize your availability with external systems such as Airbnb, VRBO, or Google Calendar using iCal links. This includes both importing reservations into ReservationKey and exporting your calendar to other platforms.

Importing External Calendars

1. From the bottom of the Availability Calendar, click iCal Links.
2. Under the Import section, click Add next to the desired room.
3. Paste the URL from your external calendar (e.g., Airbnb, VRBO, or Google Calendar).
4. Enter a Name for the calendar.
5. Set a Status for incoming reservations (for example, “Airbnb”).
6. Optionally, select an Email Schedule specific to imported reservations.
7. Click Sync with this Calendar.

To manually update, click Sync Now at any time. ReservationKey also automatically syncs your calendars periodically throughout the day.

Exporting Your ReservationKey Calendar

1. In the same iCal Links section, click Export next to the room you want to share.
2. Copy the Export Link.
3. Paste this link into the external system where you want to sync your availability (for example, in Airbnb or Google Calendar).

You can also choose which information gets included in the export by adding variables to the end of the link. These variables are listed and explained within the iCal Links module.
