RESERVATION, SECURITY HOLD & CANCELLATION POLICIES
SECURITY HOLD REQUIREMENT
All reservations must have a valid credit card on file for a security authorization hold. This requirement applies to all reservations, including direct bookings, third-party booking site reservations, prepaid reservations, and guests who plan to pay with cash.
The credit card on file must be in the name of a person listed on the reservation and must match the identification provided during the required online check-in process.
The security hold is a temporary authorization and is not an actual charge. It may be used to cover damages, excessive cleaning, missing items, or other additional charges resulting from the stay. If there are no additional charges, the authorization will generally be released approximately 48 hours after checkout.
THIRD-PARTY RESERVATIONS
Reservations made through third-party booking sites may be prepaid through the booking site. Prepayment does not eliminate the security hold requirement.
For reservations made through a third-party booking site, the cancellation policy provided with your reservation will apply. Please refer to your reservation confirmation for the applicable terms.
DIRECT BOOKING CANCELLATION POLICY
For reservations booked directly with Sierra Mountain Lodge, a $25 non-refundable deposit is collected at the time the reservation is made. The $25 deposit is applied toward the total cost of the reservation and is not an additional fee.
The remaining balance is charged 5 days before the scheduled check-in date. Once the remaining balance has been charged, the reservation is non-refundable.
If a reservation is cancelled 5 days or more before the scheduled check-in date, the $25 deposit remains non-refundable, but no additional cancellation charge will apply.
Cancellations or changes made less than 5 days before the scheduled arrival date are non-refundable, and the guest is responsible for the full remaining balance of the reservation.
NO-CALL / NO-SHOW POLICY
Guests are required to complete the online check-in process and security hold before arrival.
If a guest does not complete the required online check-in and does not check in at the property on the scheduled arrival date, the reservation may be considered a no-show and abandoned. The rental may then be released and placed back on the market without refund.
Guests are responsible for payment for all nights reserved, regardless of their actual arrival or departure date. Early departure does not qualify for a refund for unused nights.
Thank you for choosing Sierra Mountain Lodge for your lodging and vacation needs. We appreciate your business and hope you enjoy your stay in the Yosemite area.
