Policies and Additional Charges
You will be held financially responsible for any damage sustained by your misuse or disrespect of any property belonging to Pleasant Valley Resort or guests of the resort. Any fines will be charged to the credit card submitted with your reservation.
Based on government regulations the NO SMOKING policy must be observed in ALL enclosed rooms, effective November 16, 2009. Pleasant Valley does not allow smoking of any substance using any type of device inside rooms or cottages. Enforced with a $250 fine.
Based on State of Michigan law, occupants are not allowed to sleep on the floor of any guest room or cottage. Room occupancy restrictions are strictly enforced based upon fire code. Parties on our property are prohibited, as we do not have the faciltiies to support our guests hosting additional people.
Pets are NOT allowed. (Registered Service Animals are the only exception and guests are required to clean up after their animals.) Emotional support animals are not considered Registered Service Animals per ADA law. Enforced with a $250.00 fine.
Guest room and cottage rates are based on 1 to 2 person occupancy. Additional person fees: Daily Rate: $10.00 per person per night, Weekly Rate: $50.00 per person per week. Room and cottage capacities will not be compromised. Undeclared guests will result in a fine of $50.00 per person.
We will not be held responsible for accidents or injuries to our guests or for loss of money, property, or valuables of any kind.

Payments An advanced deposit equal to 50% of stay, and a valid credit card is required to confirm all reservations. Pleasant Valley Resort accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. An advanced deposit equal to 50% of reservation total, and a valid credit card is required to confirm a reservation. Balance of fees will be charged to the credit card provided prior to allowing room access on the day of arrival.

For stays of 4 to 9 nights, a cancellation or change for any reason up to 14 days prior to your arrival date results in forfeiture of the advance deposit, unless we are able to rebook your reservation, less 20% handling fee. The full amount of your stay will be charged if cancelled or changed within 14 days of your date of arrival.
For stays of 10 nights or more, cancellation or change for any reason up to 30 days prior to arrival results in forfeiture of the advance deposit, unless we are able to rebook your reservation, less 20% handling fee. Any cancellation or change in dates within 30 days of arrival date will require full payment for the entire stay without refund.
Refunds require up to 4 weeks for processing. No refunds will be issued for early departure for any reason.
Phone Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Express check-in is managed via email, due to limited staffing we do not have an office check-in procedure. Door code will be provided on day of arrival allowing direct access to the room following final payment.
