Our family had a "siblings and spouses" retreat at Golden View Lodge. It was a perfect setting for us with beautiful vistas in a peaceful and quiet setting, yet with lots of entertainment just a short drive away. We had a wonderful time and hope to repeat the experience!

We have come back to Heaven's View 3 years in a row. You can't beat the view, and the house is clean, comfortable, well appointed, and conveniently located for hiking around Cade's Cover in the park. We love the hot tub and the pool table, but the highlight is lounging on the beautiful terrace after a day in the park.

We LOVED the cabin. Very roomy. Very clean. Plenty of towels. The beds were very comfortable. The setting is very nice. Big porches. Highly recommend! We would absolutely stay here again.

This was our first time visiting the Smokies and had a wonderful time. The Simply Golden cabin was absolutely beautiful and the view was amazing. Wish it wouldn't had rained the whole time while we were there, but if you were going to have to spend it indoors this would be the place to stay. We will definitely be back, there's no need to look around anywhere else to stay.

This was our third time at this cabin and every time something is new for guests. This time there were very comfortable stuffed outside chairs on the front deck. The location, so close to Great Smoky Mountains National Park is a huge plus. We will be back again, Larry, Nancy, Maggie Mae, Teddy Bear

We spent our honeymoon here ... EXACTLY like the pictures, hot tub was amazing, the view spectacular, and the cabin so clean and beautiful. Loved that they had a helpful handbook with suggestions of things to do around towns nearby. We couldn't have asked for a more peaceful, beautiful, easy stay. Only one complaint ... we couldn't stay longer. Lol We will definitely return and book a longer stay next time! I would highly recommend this cabin or any other owned/operated by this amazing couple!

My sister and I brought 3 of our nieces to Wears Valley to tell them about their ancestors that came from that area. Fortunately, we found Heaven's View and what a view it was. From the deck, the beautiful mountains made a great show. Even though it rained everyday that we were there we had tremendous fun. Heaven's View was equipped with all the modern conveniences we needed and our stay was so comfortable and wonderful. Hopefully, we will be able to come again and thanks to Donn and Margaret for providing this great place.

This is an excellently situated cabin with a beautiful view. Our family has a reunion every year in a cabin near Smoky Mountain National Park and this is one of the best. Very clean. Easy access to the park for hiking. Plenty of space.

We were lucky enough to stay in the Family Memories cabin again, and I must say, it is difficult to leave. The views from the front porch are so amazing, I could sit there all day. The cabin is clean and has everything you need for a home away from home. Wears Valley is so beautiful and everyone is so nice. Best trip ever, until next time....

This cabin was amazing from top to bottom and all the little extras being thought of. This is the perfect distance from main road allowing you to get to town quickly but provides a fantastic view of the mountains. The game room is spacious with everything you need. The hot tub is the cleanest one I've ever been in. The fenced in yard was great for our puppy. Not too many cabins have a fire pit and this allowed for us to extend our evenings outside. Comfy beds, spacious rooms, great open concept layout.....I could go on and on about this cabin. This is the 5th cabin we have rented in the Smokies and this cabin truly is perfect. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer. Would definitely stay here again.

Our family of 14, ages 3 to 73, were extremely pleased with the layout, the amenities, the cleanliness and the beautiful views surrounding the lodge. We tend to stay out of the crowds in Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, and this Wears Valley location was perfect. We had easy access to the hiking trails in the national park, and found three great places to eat nearby on 321. Geppetto's Italian Restaurant and Elvira's Cafe both accommodated all 14 of us with hospitality and delicious food!

Donn & Margaret, thank you so much for allowing us to stay in Heavens View cabin for our first trip to the Smoky Mountains. It truly felt like home away from home with all the amenities provided. I also appreciate how clean it was! The views of the mountains were breathtaking and daily morning coffee on the deck looking out at them was certainly a highlight. The clean hot tub was relaxing after all the hiking and walking we did. It was great to grill food out on the deck, and have a full kitchen stocked with everything needed. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us to be spread out, the beds were firm yet comfortable, and the privacy we felt was the best. The paved road up the mountain was also a huge plus. We will definitely look to stay in your cabins again. I already miss it - the weather, the views, the welcoming town and wish we'd stayed longer!!

We rented the cabin for our wedding weekend so both families could stay together. The cabin was perfect and everyone enjoyed their stay. When visiting again will definitely try to stay here again with a large group.

Great location in Wears Valley. Beautiful views.The cabin sleeps many without feeling crowded. We and the dogs appreciate the fenced in back yd . We used the fire pit as chilly nights. Elviras café is a great find! We definitely will return.

We really enjoyed our stay at Black Bear Lodge! The cabin was very clean and well stocked with bedding, towels, etc. We loved the private drive/setting and enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking walks at night. The fire pit was fantastic! We used it almost every night and loved hearing the coyotes ??. Would stay again and would highly recommend to others. This cabin was close to everything we wanted to do; national park, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Cade's Cove, etc. Thanks so much!!

This was our third time staying at the cabin. We love it and will be back. It's perfect for a weekend getaway and is so convenient to both the park, stores if you need to quickly run out, and to Pigeon Forge. We love it!

Not to long ago Breast Cancer invaded our house and our lives, along with that comes stress, anxiety , anger and fear. My wife is a "survivor" and this trip to the "Golden Memories" cabin was exactly what we needed. The beauty of Gods country is all around you.We brought our two small dogs, they enjoyed the open area and the Mountain scenery as much as we did. We spent a week in the mountains before I myself had to come home for heart surgery there was no better way to relax . A very comfortable and clean cabin, everything we needed and more than we expected. we will definitely recommend to all of our friends. thank you very much Donn & Margaret

We have stayed in this cabin previously and it was very clean and extremely nice. We dearly enjoy the view of the mountains from the front deck. The beds are very comfortable and we also enjoy the back yard. We enjoy this cabin the most of all of the cabins we have stayed in for vacation in the Smokey Mountains. We dearly love Wears Valley and when you stay in this cabin you are in the center of Wears Valley which is very peaceful and beautiful. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful cabin.

My family really enjoyed our stay at the Bear Falls Cabin. The cabin was clean, neat and beautifully decorated. We are already planning our next visit to the Smoky Mountain Cabins.

I was able to locate the cabin in about 5 minutes. This is the first and best impression. The open concept of the cabin is unbelievable. We were in aww looking the Jacuzzi, bed, pool table, kitchen, dining area, living area and also the rest room. Please use of the space and an amazing appeal. The thing we can cherish for the entire life is to view the sun rise and moon rise while sleeping on the bed. Amazing amazing amazing. Definitely going to be back with an extended family soon

Thank you for another wonderful stay at Golden View Lodge. For the past 10 years we have had a girls weekend to celebrate my Grandmother's birthday, 4 daughters and 9 grand and great-granddaughters. This year she turned 88! This was our 2nd stay at Golden View and like the first time, it was wonderful! Very clean, well stocked and plenty of room! The only thing I can think of that could use some improvement is the shower heads in the bathrooms. Some of them spray weird, kinda like holding your thumb over the end of a water hose, it's sprays everywhere except where you want it! However, the shower heads definitely won't keep us from booking again...hopefully soon!!!

We loved our stay at Bears Fall Cabin. It was clean, roomy and the beds were comfy. Even thought it was February, we were able to make smores at the fire ring. We've decided to start planning a trip back for next year!

We had such a great time at the Black Bear Lodge cabin. Our group had 9 people and the cabin was a perfect size for us. We loved the seclusion and didn't see any other people on the property while there. We had fires both inside and out and it was so quiet and peaceful. The morning started with hot tub time and we went hiking one of the days. Being able to avoid the trafffic and go straight into the park through the Metcalff Bottoms picnic area was really nice! At night we used the grill, which was in great condition to cook out. The kitchen was well equipped and we appreciated the variety of spices that were provided for us. This was by far one of my favorite cabins and we will be back. The only negative was the very early check out time which caused us to hurry out the day we left. Otherwise, this place is amazing!! Be sure to stop by the grocery store down the road (close to Metcalff bottoms and Elvira's) to get a fried apple or peach pie. They are so good!!

Just wanted to let you know what a wonderful time our group had at Golden View Lodge. It was the perfect size for our group. Clean and comfortable and the view was beautiful. We are thinking about doing two trips next year! Thank you so much for having this beautiful cabin available for us.

This cabin is absolutely wonderful. My husband and I rented the space for a couples getaway and everyone was pleased. The cabin was very easy to get to and there were places to eat and get groceries nearby. The cabin was clean and stocked with soap, towels, paper plates and other supplies. We all felt very welcome and are looking forward to returning in the summer.

Great cabin, great customer service, great location. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We'll be back!

The cabin was wonderful. I loved the location and having the outside area to roam with my grandgirls. We loved the cave and the waterfall. The cabin was well kept and maintained.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Bear Falls cabin. It was beautiful and so comfortable for our stay with family. We enjoyed the large lovely kitchen for preparing meals and gathering in the large living room with the cozy fireplace and wall of windows was fabulous. Thank you!

This is our second time staying in one of Donn's cabins. As expected, the cabin was very clean and had all the amenities we needed. My husband and dad loved exploring the grounds at the cabin. My mom and I enjoyed staying by the fireplace inside (it was in the teens one night!) The cabin was great for my dog too! Im not sure who was more sad to leave! Donn has been great to work with. I look forward to the next trip!

Black Bear Hollow means more to us than the tired old cliche' "Home Away From Home". We vacationed in several of the Black Bear Hollow cabins over the last fifteen years. For the last four years we have utilized Bear Lodge & Bear Falls for our family's Thanksgiving & Christmas holidays. The cabins are spacious, well furnished, clean and have all the amenities that we need to have a great time in the Smokies. The cabins are secluded in a great peaceful & serene setting. As all the kids said as they walked in this year "Hey, I'm Home".

We stayed 2 nights for the 3rd time in 4 years and absolutely love this place. It is very comfortable, well kept, and even was pre-decorated for Christmastime. Our 5 couples (siblings & spouses) each had bedroom with their own bathroom which makes it much like a hotel, and the upstairs great room provides a gathering place for eating, and socializing. Table space plentiful with 2 large tables that can be combined to make a huge one. Road up to cabin just a bit steep but easily traversed slowly and carefully. Dishwasher helps cleanup for meals.
