We stayed in Family Memories over Thanksgiving week and this was our third stay in the cabin. It truly lives up to its name and has become our home away from home. The cabin inside is very comfortable and cozy and there are not enough words to describe the spectacular view from the front porch. My favorite spot to drink coffee in the morning is on the front porch just looking at the beautiful views. The cabin is close to all the main attractions in the area however, far enough away to have peace and quiet when needed. Some days we just stayed in the cabin and enjoyed all it had to offer. The owners Mr. Donn and Mrs. Margaret Tisch are very welcoming and friendly, any questions were answered in speedy timeframe. I can’t wait to come back to Family Memories.

My family & I stayed in this cabin for Christmas this year! We loved it. It was so pretty & clean. The view alone is the best! Awesome people to work with. If we had questions they were there to answer. We can’t wait to come back. Thank you Donn & Margaret for wonderful memories with our family.

Over the last several years, Bear Falls cabin in Black Bear Hollow has served our family well for our annual Thanksgiving & Christmas reunion that we call "Thanksmas". It is very spacious, well maintained, and has all the amenities needed for a great family experience. If anything is needed, the owners are only a phone call away. It truly is our Home Away from Home.

This was our first time staying in a cabin. We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay! The cabin is exactly the way it looks in the pictures, and it's just perfect for two. We enjoyed the heart shaped Jacuzzi tub, cooking on the grill, and the warm fireplace. However, the best memory of all is watching the sunrise while relaxing in the Hot Tub?? Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer!!

My friends and family were blown away by the view and the Amazing amount of room we had! The owners left a book with everything we may need and things close by, this cabin is in the best location either direction your so close to it all! I will definitely be back Amazing hospitality!

Our stay in the Simply Golden Cabin was perfect. The cabin was clean and comfortable. The master bedroom bed was comfortable and the views were spectacular. We enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of sight seeing. The backyard was perfect for little mini doodle. We will definitely stay there again.

The owners made everything seamless and easy. And the Cabin was gorgeous and had the most amazing view. They supplied everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property manager was extremely easy to contact and extremely helpful. Our family of 12 enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and relaxing in the immaculate hot tub. The cabin had an amazing view of the mountains and lake from both family rooms. Just an overall perfect vacation where pictures will never do justice to what we saw in person.

Our family had a wonderful time at this cabin. our two daughters and their families were very happy with the layout. There were only one thing, we had small children running around and there was an opening to downstairs that had no door, we used the baby gate but were not comfortable that it would keep the babies from pushing it down. having said that we are really considering it again for next year because we would be a little more prepared for those two things. what we loved most was that it was roomy for our large group and the view was amazing. the drive is close to pigeon forge without it being hard to get to. We really loved this cabin.

We had a fabulous long weekend in the mountains! The owners are very responsive and the home is clearly well taken care of. We would definitely recommend and stay again!

This place was beautiful the owners are even awesome. The cabin is clean and well decorated and just beautiful.. so I recommend staying here.

It was the perfect spot to get away for a few days. Plenty of room for just the 2 of us! Comfy beds, nice hot tub. Very clean!!

We had such a peaceful stay at this beautiful home. The appliances are modern. The hot tub looks new, but most of all the pups loved the fenced in yard. We would recommend this home to all who need to recharge.??

This cabin had most everything you would need. Its a little bit of a drive out of town but the scenery is amazing. I would definitley stay again. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay at your cabin,

We had such a great trip and loved every moment we spent in this cabin! The view was incredible- I loved waking up and seeing the mountains every morning and watching the sunset over them at night! The hot tub was amazing. The beds were really, really comfy and the house had everything we needed for cooking. The location was also great. It’s in a quiet area, but still really close to pigeon forge, Gatlinburg, and the National Park!

Golden Oaks cabin is a beautiful cabin in very quiet setting. Secluded yet very accessible and easy to find. Comfortable drive to any of the local attractions. It had every necessity the we needed for our stay.

We really enjoyed the stay at the cabin. We just hated to leave. Any issues or questions we had were answered very promptly. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed and we hope to book again in the future

Beautiful cabin tucked into the hillside of Wears Valley. Very clean and nice comfy beds. Great place for 3 couples to relax and celebrate our friends Gatlinburg wedding. Loved the pool room and hot tub and fire pit. Open floor plan and gorgeous large windows with great views. Driveway is a tiny bit steep but worth the effort. Would definitely stay again.

Awesome cabin with spectacular view! Cabin was well kept and very clean. It was nice and spacious for the six of us and the amenities of the hot tub, pool table, foosball, and fire pit were enjoyed by all. We also appreciated the fully stocked kitchen (pots, pans, etc.) as well. It made meal prep much easier than I have found in some other cabins I have rented. We have rented many cabins over the past 30 years and we all agreed that this is the nicest cabin that we have ever stayed in. We hope to return someday!

This cabin Family Memories is true to its name! It was a wonders experience and stay. The cabin was fully equipped and clean and cozy we will definitely be back

Me and my family loved this place, very roomy and the views were awesome. Would recommend this to anyone for a vacation your just a short getaway. We all wished we had gotten it for a longer period. We will go back.

I just stayed August 21-23 for a little family reunion with my brothers and sisters as we all live in 5 different states. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and just the right size. All the beds were comfortable, there were plenty of couches, chairs, and having 2 dining room tables was perfect so we could all sit down at the same time. Thank you so much for a wonderful place for such a gathering. I told my family we should do this every year and would stay here again in a heart beat! I at least would want 4 days next time. I give Golden View Lodge ***** 5 stars

We had 2 families stay for a week in this beautiful cabin in the woods. The sleeping situation was great, the kitchen was well stocked including a Kuerig and a Crock Pot. A gated community and a community pool. There is river minutes away that has tubing that was fun. Great experience and the owners were available for any questions prior to the trip, we didn’t need anything while we were there. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for having us!

We just returned from a week long stay at Golden Oaks. We’ve been coming to the area to vacation for 10 years and this was by far the nicest place we’ve stayed. I really don’t need to look anywhere else. This place checks ALL the boxes for me. The cabin was clean, nicely furnished, comfortable beds, good water pressure and well maintained. We have dogs and finding a property with a fenced in yard is challenging enough but finding an enclosed, level yard is near impossible. Our non athletic dogs were very impressed! My girl had to go out early one morning and as I stood on the deck waiting, I heard twigs snapping in the woods. I shined my flashlight and there was a bear lumbering down the other side of the creek. Pretty cool! I loved how you felt far away from everything yet you weren’t far at all. We enjoy going to Cades Cove so it’s nice to be so close to the park entrance through the Metcalf Bottoms picnic area. We discovered Mountain Brothers general Store just down the road. They have a great coffee selection and I think picking beans to grind and brew will be a new tradition. We bought 3 lbs of 3 different flavors. Thanks again. We really enjoyed ourselves. Can’t wait to come back!

We had a great time! Loved the cabin especially the peaceful evening stargazing from the front porch.

My husband and I live in Florida with our two small children. All of our family is up north. We decided to try a "meet in the middle" family vacation. This trip exceeded our expectations! The cabin was spacious enough for everyone to enjoy it (11 people) and not feel crowded. We loved that there were 3 different decks to enjoy, so everyone could enjoy their morning coffee in peace. The jacuzzi tub was a big hit with the kids. The adults loved the hot tub and fire pit. There was just the right amount of seclusion. We weren't in the middle of nowhere, but also far enough in the woods that it was peaceful and quiet. Everything was within driving distance. We will definitely return to this cabin next year!

We have stayed at this cabin 4 times now and can’t wait to return. The view is amazing! The owners are awesome! We enjoyed the hot tub and pool this time around because we had our grandsons with us. They had a great time! See you in the fall “ Family Memories”.

This cabin provided plenty for us to do and enjoy. The first morning, my son was startled when a black bear decided to visit on the lower porch!.My husband and I loved the porch on the main floor - sitting there relaxing and enjoying the view. The hot tub was loved by all. I use a walker to get around and the cabin was great for me. The walk in shower was perfect. I brought my shower chair and was able to use it. The location was away from the rush of Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg but close enough to go to. What we loved was the close proximity to the National Park. Definitely keep this on our list and hopefully next time all will be able to come.

Enormous fenced in back yard for your furry critters! The screened porch was great for morning coffee while watching the sunrise with no bugs! A nice relaxing stay.

This was the perfect t get away! Beautiful scenery, comfortable home and plenty of peace and quiet! Owners were easy to contact and very helpful when we had questions. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful week here ! The cabin was beautiful . The beds were super comfy . We loved the fire pit & used it every night ! The pool table was a big hit too . There were a few little issues & they were taken care of right away . We would love to come back & stay here again !

We had a big group and had plenty of space in this beautiful cabin! It is the last one on the road -so very secluded to enjoy your privacy. It’s located close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge so you have plenty of places to explore. The beds are comfortable, the owners keep it clean and well stocked. I would highly recommend this cabin! The view is PHENOMENAL!
