I have nothing but positives to say about this charming cottage. It is lovely and so well appointed. The host Jan is gracious and accommodating and she makes scrumptious breakfasts. There is lots to do in the area, i.e. visit the beaches of Sonoma coast, take in the beauty of pt Reyes, hike ... to name a few. But, honestly, I could have been quite content to just sit in the cottage and enjoy the quiet beauty around me. Next time.

By far, one of the best and most relaxing experiences I've had in N. Cali; and I've been visiting up and down the coast for years. Thank you for your hospitality and attention to detail; the cottage is beautiful and the breakfasts YUM! I'll be back soon

My husband and I were reminded during our recent annual visit that this cottage, and all the great things mentioned by others, is one of the extra special gifts we can give ourselves. we're considering making our visits twice a year to take full advantage of the opportunity to enjoy the cottage, food, property, and our wonderful hosts. 10 hr drive to get there will not keep us away!

We spent two nights at AppleGarden Cottage while attending a weekend wedding at the Straus Home Ranch, not far from your place. Our accommodations at your cottage were wonderful, second only to your hospitality. The fresh fruits, homemade scones, waffles and apple smoked bacon, waiting outside our door each morning were fabulous! (...and thank you for sharing the recipes!). Your hard cider was also a nice addition to our refreshments for the weekend, not to mention the fresh eggs from your hen house as well as the fresh dairy items from the Straus Ranch. We'll look forward to a future stay!

This cottage makes for a wonderful couples get away, relaxing views, close to Tomales bay for fresh oysters, restaurants for great food, scenic drives, and the Highland cattle in the pastures around us were amazing. Jan was a jewel of an innkeeper and her cottage and service was spot on. We will return.

We stayed here for my wife's surprise 35th birthday and we both absolutely loved it! My wife was blown away by everything. For starters, she couldn't believe we were the only couple staying in the cottage and what's more that the cottage was on the farm. We had the most delicious breakfasts for two mornings, from farm fresh eggs to locally grown fruit to some of the most delicious waffles/bacon you could imagine. The host (Jan) is just the warmest person you'll meet and her attention to detail is impeccable. She thinks of everything! We loved the floor-heated bathroom, the fireplace, wooden chairs sitting on the property, walking through the pasture, and the list goes on. Even though the cottage is only an hour north of San Francisco, we felt we were hundreds of miles away from the world. Jan also provides a list of local restaurants and activities (e.g. kayaking) depending on how you want to plan your trip. We were sad to leave when we headed home, but we will absolutely be back!!!…
