We really enjoy the roundhouse. We live on 12 1/2 acres in Williamsburg,Oh.and the family love going there. We are very sorry to hear that you are selling it. Wish there was a way for you to keep it and continue renting it out. Thanking you Patty it’s a great place to stay. We will miss going to the Roundhouse.

Enjoyed our 3 night stay at the cabin. It was about 95 degrees when we arrived so we were grateful it had AC! Loved the privacy and seclusion of this place. Cabin was stocked with everything we could possibly need. We loved the peaceful surroundings and getting away from it all.

This cabin is lovely, and very relaxing to stay in. Everything you need to spend time in nature :). All of the comforts and access of home (internet, TV and DVD player, comfortable beds and furnishings, and a complete kitchen which fulfills my need to cook a lot of great meals), and still very out-in-the-country and away from suburbia. Very dog-friendly - if your dogs are obedient enough to take off-leash, this is the place to do it. There are a few short, good walks to take in the immediate vicinity, and the whole of Adams County to explore if you want to venture further. We have come here many times and find it to be one of the most relaxing places we have been to. We intend to be regular visitors here going forward :)

We had an amazing time celebrating my husband's birthday. The cabin was so peaceful and serene. The amenities available were a nice surprise. You have thought of everything. We will definitely be coming back! Thank you!!

Our family of six fit perfectly in this quaint, pristine cabin. We were thrilled to find the place in such great order! They allowed us to bring our furry family as well which made this a perfect stay! Stepping inside we immediately felt like we were home. The wood and peg floors added to the charm and the large table was a great place for us to enjoy dinners, and also hosted our game night. The Walmart was not far away, which was great when we discovered we had forgotten a crucial ingredient for one of our meals. They do have a selection of DVDs that suited our family, but we never found time to watch anything. The cave is amazing. You should know that at some points, you will be crawling, which is where I turned back (smile) but I was thrilled to see all my boys and husband come back out head to toe in mud (as promised)! They loved it! There are a few paths you can also walk in the woods. With two of my boys out of the house and in college, it is so nice to have everyone together for a weekend. They all want to come back next year! Music to a mother's heart! Thank you for providing this place for a quiet get away!

Absolutely stunning cabin in pure seclusion. No better way to bring in the New Year and we absolutely LOVED IT. We will definitely be coming back.

We loved the extra touches. When we got there the baby gate was already up for our 2 year old, and there was a playpen and high chair there that we didn't even request. We were pleasantly surprised about the firewood Chris, Iris, and their son delivered and even carried into the cabin for us when our supply started getting low. The pillows on the beds are wonderful, we are going to find some for our own home. We even had a deer outside our kitchen window on Thanksgiving morning. All the personal touches made this a wonderful stay.

Our son got married to a local OH girl so our whole family stayed at the round house. We loved it from the moment we walked in the door! All the amenities of a hotel but better! Comfy, secluded, warm and inviting. Will definitely stay again!

Wow! What a wonderful two days. The Round House is even better than it appears in the pictures. I have never been to a "cabin" that has every convenience and where the kitchen has everything you will ever need to prepare a meal. Plenty of NICE cookware, utensils, baking dishes, etc. Hair Dryers in every bathroom, great beds and bedding, hiking trails, easy access to Amish stores. Make sure you take advantage of the 10.00 per person breakfast down the road at Margaret's; great food and hospitality. Breakfast served on Royal Doulton China and great hiking around the back of her property. We ate dinner at nearby Murphin Ridge Inn. We enjoyed the Brown County Fair before checking in and ate at the Ice Cream Parlor in Ripley. However, the highlight of our trip were the peaceful and quiet accommodations. Good job, Patty and crew. Enjoyed looking at the stars in the field by the barn. We spent two hours in the dark there. Beautiful! Grounds were cut for easy access to all cabins, barn and fire pit.

We had a wonderful stay at Cave Hill. The Cabin was a wonderful blend of modern amenities mixed with history all within a quiet, peaceful setting. We played family games, went on hikes and explored much of Adams County. I highly recommend this spot for a family or romantic get away!

My family of 5 and our dog absolutely loved our stay. We had a wonderful time exploring and seeing all the wildlife and visiting all the area had to see. We could not have asked for anything more. Everything we could need was perfectly in place. Breakfast with Margaret was delightful as well! Thanks for everything to Patti.

We love this house. This was our second time renting it and we will surely be back again. There is plenty of room and my wife loves the large open kitchen.

The Round House Cabin is among the very best places we have ever stayed. Very accomidating and well equipped for every need. Would book again anytime my travels take me to the area.

We stayed at the Roundhouse Cabin for 2 nights during the first weekend of March. We, along with our 2 children, had a wedding ceremony in the cupola. It was the perfect location for us to commit our lives to one another. We spent the next day hiking around the property and exploring the nature that surrounds the cabin. The quiet serenity of this remote getaway was exactly what we were looking for. At the same time, the cabin had all of the comforts of a modern home, including wifi. We will definitely return many times in our futures.

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon during a very cold winter. It was surprisingly easy to find and only an hour from home. Checking in and staying at the cabin was entirely hassle-free and the owners have a very hands-off approach which worked surprisingly well. It was expensive to stay at the Round House but I felt it was worth every penny. The place was beautiful, the surrounding area was beautiful, and the cabin had all the amenities we could have asked for in a country get-away. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This cabin is absolutely a dream. We loved every minute. George and Patty have thought of everything. Try to arrive during the day as the drive back is beautiful but pretty remote. The cabin is the perfect mix of old and new. We loved cooking all our meals and relaxing in front of the fire. We stayed a few nights and could have easily stayed an entire week. Hope to return some day!

Dodge Cabin was tidy, quiet, well-equipped and in a beautiful and peaceful setting. Enjoyed my stay.

We stayed in the Dodge Cabin for an anniversary getaway. It was a very clean and comfortable cabin with a great deck. We enjoyed hiking, checking out the cave and fishing a little. The close-by Amish area was interesting also. We would definitely stay there again some day.

My husband and I spent the weekend at Dodge Cabin with our dog. We had the best time, and we were very comfortable. The cabin has everything you could possibly need, unlike many cabins we have stayed in before. It is easy to find, but still very secluded. Our dog was in heaven running through the large open grassy areas. We will most certainly be back, and hope to stay longer next time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Cave Hill Cabin. The history of the cabin was fascinating, and we enjoyed reading about it in more detail through the literature we found on the table. The cabin was secluded and peaceful, and had everything we needed for much needed relaxation. We enjoyed eating our meals on the large, comfortable porch, and even got to have a cozy supper outside while a thunderstorm was happening! We took a hike on the property and followed a trail through the woods. We even explored the cave, and were able to stop and talk with George on our way back to the cabin, as he was cutting grass where we were walking by. We will most definitely be recommending this cabin to friends and family, and are already planning a return trip with our girls!

We spent two days here enjoying the peace and tranquility. There were two trails near by to walk-one to a small pond and one to a small cave. Nearby a neighbor had an Art studio and a lovely prairie with lots of wild flowers and butterflies. We got some beautiful photographic memories. The cabin had everything you could possibly need except for your food. Plenty of extras in case you forgot something. George and Patty are just terrific people with the foresight to know just what you need for a relaxing stay.

A friend and I wanted to run away from home for the night and Round House proved to be the perfect escape. The cabin is very nicely appointed - kitchen equipped, beds comfortable and the setting (deep in the woods) so relaxing. The cupola was the ideal spot to watch the full moon rise and we agreed that viewing the Perseids from the fire pit would have been spectacular. Unfortunately, we were a few days late for that. The Round House would be a great spot for a two couple get away.

. . . A week in the Log Cabin at Cave Hill Cabins.. The location (at the end of the lane, looking across the meadow to the old barn) was perfect. And while we had drenching rains several times in the week, it mattered not. The Carrs have anticipated not only all our needs, but our possible desires as well -- cards, interesting books (I took pictures of several titles since I couldn't read them all in one week), jigsaw puzzles, satellite TV so we wouldn't miss any Olympics. They have managed to bring a/c, central heat, garbage disposal, microwave, dishwasher, etc. to a pre-Civil War cabin in a complimentary way that does not compromise the original structure in the least. And sleeping in the king size bed on the second level brought those rainstorms right overhead -- lovely sound to fall asleep to. We enjoyed walks through up the lane, down to the pond, over to the Dodge Cabin and the Roundhouse, stargazing and sitting on the porch in the early morning with our coffee. We will definitely return before the end of the year. After all, who doesn't want to sit in front of a fire on a nippy late fall evening? Thank you Patty & George for creating such a serene environment in which to unwind.

My wife and I had looked for about a month to find the perfect place. We have two dogs and we wanted a nice relaxing vacation for us as well as them. If you are looking for peace and quite, a place your dogs can run freely then this is exactly what you will get. Cave hill cabins was 100% exactly what we were looking for and I am so looking forward to another stay soon.

We spent two nights at the Dodge Cabin and could not have had more fun. Our entire family enjoyed the Cabins and the entire experience of the Cave Hill property. If you like camping and the outdoors but still like to sleep in a bed and have a nice kitchen to cook...this is the place for you! Thank you George! We will be back next year if not sooner!

We enjoyed the our stay very much. Cabin was excellent. Anytime would be a great time to stay, but since the cabin is surrounded by Locust trees, a stay when they are in bloom would be something. We have rented cabins before some good, some bad, but here is a list topper.

We loved out stay at the Round House. Very secluded ... a "quiet" I had forgotten existed. Without a doubt the most well stocked and comfortable cabin we've ever stayed in. George even has an adapter on the stereo to plug in your phone!

This was our second stay at the round house and it was perfect. We mostly enjoy the quiet and serenity of opening all the windows and listening to the birds sing us awake. The accommodations are well equipped and tastefully done and the woods and fields are healthy and well cared for. It's a place we never want to leave. Enjoyed seeing the family of Pileated Woodpeckers and the Luna moth on the screen in the morning. We will be back!

We had a fantastic time at the Round House. This was a guys' trip for me and two of my buddies from college. We were in a band together and took a few days to reconnect, do some writing, and even record a few songs. The Round House fit the bill perfectly. We were spread between Nashville, TN and Pittsburgh, PA, so this was a great halfway point for us. We had a bit of rain the first two days, but that was fine for our purposes. The accommodations were very homey, with enough rustic flair to feel like a cabin and enough luxury that in no way at all we were roughing it. It was very clean and well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. I slept great in the comfy beds. Internet may have been the hardest thing for us. The Verizon cellular connection worked fine, but it's not really sufficient for streaming video. Even though we were, in theory, looking for a few days to disconnect, Facebook/YouTube/etc. is just something we have clearly all become accustomed to. We all had pretty good cell service, though. Sunday, the weather was really nice, so we explored the grounds a bit. What a gorgeous piece of property. The trails took us throughout the grounds, and there were maps to ensure we didn't get turned around. All three cabins have a good amount of separation between them and feel very private. We saw several bass in the fishing pond, although we didn't do any fishing. We did make a brief foray into Cave Hill Cave. If you want to do some caving, my advice would be to bring a good headlamp, helmet cam, and clothes and shoes that are ok to get pretty dirty. I was using my phone as a camera and a flashlight, which made it pretty tough to climb/slink through the slick (and muddy, in parts) rock trenches. I feared I would slip and ruin my phone. This is mostly a long narrow tunnel, so if you have issues with claustrophobia it may not be your idea of a good time. Based on the map I think I made it about halfway through the length of the cave. I would have gone further if I had been better equipped. A very neat natural feature of this property if you are feeling adventurous. This area is pretty remote, so we did not leave the property very much. We stocked up on provisions on our way in and cooked all our own food. We didn't make it to any of the local restaurants so I can't offer any guidance on that front. All in all, we were absolutely thrilled with our trip and have already discussed making a trip back in another year or two. For a relaxing weekend in in a great cabin, give the Round House a try. You won't regret it!

If you enjoy seclusion, rustic and a great view, then this is one of the best cabins near Cincinnati. From the outside the cabin looks like it was built in the 1800s, but it has been nicely updated on the inside with modern amenities creating an excellent combination of the two. The fireplace is the centerpiece of the main floor and George supplied more than enough firewood for the entire weekend. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a home made meal. The king bed in the loft is very comfortable and the down comforter provided ample warmth for the cold nights. Sunrises and star gazing were a real treat with the view from the nearby barn. There are hardly any lights within the view giving you the sense of total country seclusion. George is a true pleasure and ease to work with and exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend this cabin for a romantic getaway for two. We will certainly be returning in the future.

cave hill cabins was the just what we needed to just relax the cabin far exceeded our expectations the huge deck overlooking the pond we took a waik on the trails inside the cabin beautiful wood work my wife had a fire in the fire place each nite there is even a fishing pole there the dodge cabin was just perfect thank you guys we will be back

We had a great time at Dodge Cabin. We get together with friends every year over the MLK holiday weekend. We have stayed in lots of cabins but this was the best. It was super comfortable and cozy. And super clean. It was so well stocked, too. The setting is perfect for getting into the woods for a couple of days. Close to the Edge of Appalachia which has great hiking trails and several nature preserves. We will definitely be back and want to stay all four seasons. A first for our group
