Rental Agreement General Information & Policies
Check-in is 4 pm. If you need to make special arrangements for a later arrival please let us know. Occasionally we can accommodate an early check-in. Please call or email to confirm.
Check-out is 11 am. Please be prompt so your room can be prepared for the next guest.
Minimum Night Stay. We currently have a 2-night minimum on all stays but can sometimes accommodate a one-night stay. Please call to inquire.
Maximum Occupancy for all rooms is 2 guests of any age, except for Hummingbird Suite which accommodates 4 guests.
Non-smoking/vaping Property. Smoking and vaping are not permitted on the Motel Inverness property. There is a $300 fee for smoking or vaping near or in a guest room.
Children: Motel Inverness is best suited for adults and very well behaved children over the age of 12.
We have a Gas Grill available for our guests. Please ask for instructions at the front desk prior to using.
Visiting Guests: Given our intimate and peaceful setting, we do require that only those who are registered guests may be on the property. Please check with the front desk if you would like to have a friend or family member visit. Thank you!
Pet Policies
We welcome your “perfectly behaved” dog in The Great Egret Suite Only with prior telephone reservation.
You will be asked to sign an agreement that includes the following pet policies:
There is a $25 per night charge for one dog. Your dog may not be left alone in guest rooms. Please keep your dog on a leash in public areas and throughout the property, including the wetlands. We will provide a sheet to cover the comforter should your dog sleep on the bed with you. Your dog may join you on the outside deck, but not in the Motel Inverness Lodge. We ask that your dog be clean, well groomed, and have current shots and flea & tick care. An aggressive dog is not welcome, nor are young pups. A dog must be good around other people and like other dogs. Owner will be responsible for any damages, injury or lost revenue, that may be caused by their dog. Owners must agree to be responsible for any and all damage done by their dog. The dog owners credit card on file will be charged for any and all damage done by their dog.
Cancellation Policy Cancellation Policy
Please understand we are a small, seven room property and your reservation is important to us. Cancellations, particularly ones initiated at the last minute, affect us greatly. There are many reasons a traveler might need to cancel a reservation at the last minute, including illness, family emergencies, flight changes and extreme weather. We strongly encourage travel insurance for all guests in order to cover the financial risk associated with a late cancellation.
Please make note of our Reservation and Cancellation Policy. You may cancel within 24 hours of the original reservation as long as it is outside of the 7 or 14 day arrival window without penalty. There is a $35 cancellation fee for all other cancelled reservations. Inside of the 7 day arrival window all reservations are considered non-cancellable and you are responsible for the entire amount of your scheduled stay. Your card on file will be charged 7 days before your arrival. (14 days for holidays) We may refund an appropriate amount if we are successful in re-booking the room. A 14 day cancellation notice is required for all holiday and special event stays. If your reservation falls over a holiday or special event, we may contact you with additional requirements and/or deposits.
