Rainforest Inn B&B Rental Agreement
Terms & Conditions
We love children, but have created the Rainforest Inn to be an adult-oriented accommodation for those wishing a quiet and/or romantic retreat. As such, our B&B is in no manner child-proof, and unequipped for infants, toddlers, or children under 12 years old. We are sorry that we find it necessary to stress this, but if you choose to arrive with a child you will be in breech of our policies and will be turned away. You will forfeit your deposit and owe for your entire reservation. If you rent our entire property for your family getaway then it would be possible to bring younger children. Or give us a call and we will be happy to recommend a nearby, child friendly accommodation of quality.
The Rainforest Inn property is reserved for guests only, no visitors.
Deposit of one night's payment by check, Traveler's Cheque, or credit card is required to guarantee reservation. This deposit must be received before your confirmation is emailed out.
If credit card payment is made in more than 2 transactions, a $15.00 fee will be charged for each additional transaction.
Cancelations must be received at least 14 days in advance of reserved date to avoid the balance of your stay being charged. If cancelation is received within 14 days of reserved date, return of deposit will be contingent upon our ability to re-book the room. All cancelations are subject to a $35.00 service fee.
No shows and cancelations made within 14 days of arrival date will be charged for the entire amount of the reservation. Once a guest has checked in, they are responsible for paying for the entire stay. If a guest decides to check out early, no refund, full or in part, will be given.
If reserving 2 or more units a 50% deposit is required, and cancelations must be received at least 30 days in advance of reserved date for return of deposit less a $35.00 per room cancellation fee. If cancelation is received within 30 days of reserved date, return of deposit will be contingent upon our ability to re-book the rooms. All cancelations are subject to a $35.00 service fee.We require one source of payment for both the deposit and the final balance. Each accommodation may not have a separate billing and payment source.
Whole house bookings (all three of our units) require a $500, refundable security/damage deposit, and a signed rental agreement.
Check-in is between 4:00pm and 9pm. Upon check in, we require a $40 cash deposit for your room key. Upon returning the key, you will receive your deposit back. Later check-in may occasionally be available at a surcharge of $25, for any time beyond 9pm up til midnight, after which time we do not accept check-ins and that day's reservation is forfeit. Please call us if you will arrive after 9pm. Check-out is prior to 11:00 am. Expanded hours may occasionally be accommodated if pre-arranged and agreed upon.
All room rates are subject to the local Puerto Rico 7% room tax.
The Rainforest Inn does not accept Gift Certificates originating from an outside source.
Room occupancy limits are not to be exceeded.
Pets cannot be accommodated anywhere on the Rainforest Inn property, service animals are also not allowed at the Rainforest Inn as we are a true bed and breakfast under five units and we have three dogs that would make the service animal's stay miserable. Pets are not allowed to be kept in cars on our property either.
The Rainforest Inn is a smoke-free establishment; no smoking in the building or within 50' of windows or exterior doors. Evidence of smoking in the villas may result in a $250 cleaning fee.
Kindly notify us immediately if there is any potential change in your booking.

The Rainforest Inn welcomes all responsible guests regardless of their race, religion, ethnic origin, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression. We encourage our guests to be comfortable and be themselves here. There will be no covert or overt effort to impose any personal religious, political, or social convictions on any of our guests or create an environment where personal convictions may feel unwelcome. We are grateful for and honor all those we are privileged to host, and ask that all our guests show respect and courtesy to one another.
Cancellation Policy
Your deposit (usually one-night's stay) is non-refundable for any reason including the Zika virus or any other international emergency like a hurricane or a zombie apocalypse. Please, if you decide to cancel, give us a two-weeks notice or better because "no shows" and last minute cancellations must be charged the balance of their stay. We are a very small bed and breakfast and we depend on 100% occupancy.
