General Policies The entire property is no smoking.
No pets are allowed. (The owner is highly allergic to cats and dogs, sorry.)
Sorry, the property is not handicapped accessible (stairs and lots of them!)
Children 7 years or older only when accompanied by at least one well behaved parent. No unaccompanied children. All guests unless accompanied by a parent must be 18 or over.
Check-in time is between 3 PM and 5:59 PM on the date reserved, unless prior arrangements have been made. Late self check-in is available via prior arrangement. Please email us a few days in advance to arrange.
Luggage drop-off is available at no charge but you must make arrangements (via email) for an appointment.
Early check-in is available for a nominal fee. This ensures that your room is the first room cleaned and prepared for you. We guarantee the room is ready by 12 PM, but it may be ready even earlier. No exceptions.
All rooms are either one floor up (Cartier, Carleton and Frontenac) or two floors up (deMaisonneuve, Champlain and Wolfe&Montcalm.) We have no elevator and no porter. This is a genuine Victorian manor... there are stairs and lots of them.
Check-out times is 11 AM. Late check-out will incur a $50 fee per hour.
We normally have a 2-night minimum, but sometimes have longer minimums for certain holidays or special vacations.
Occupancy is by the number of guests that you booked for. Extra guests incur a fee. No guests beyond the rooms maximum occupancy.
Important: A $500 fee will apply to smoking in the room. A $500 cleaning fee will apply if a pet is found to have been in the room. A $500 cleaning fee will apply to exception cleaning. Guests are responsible for any damaged, this includes to rooms or linens. Thank you for respecting our inn.
Cancellation Policy Policies:
If you need to cancel, please cancel as soon as possible. We are a small bed and breakfast, cancellations greatly affect us. When you reserve a room, we agree to turn away all other requests for that room and you agree to pay for the days you have reserved.
Please note, no charges are applicable if reservation is cancelled 8 days or more before arrival. Cancellations on the day or arrival and "no shows" will be charged for all nights!
A cancellation confirmation will be emailed. Reservations are not considered cancelled until a confirmation has been sent.
We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac and Cash (CAD, USD, GBP and EUR). Rooms are held under guarantee with your credit card, we do not take any other guarantees for reservations. Third party gift certificates are treated as credit cards upon receipt and converted using the buy rate listed on http://www.hsbc.ca/1/2/personal/banking/accounts/foreign-currency-accounts/foreign-currency-exchange on the day of presentation.
Changes to your reservation will be considered a cancellation and rebooking. Early departure falls under the cancellation policy
Prepaid packages must be paid in full at time of booking. No changes, no cancellation and no refunds.
We reserve the right to correct rate/pricing errors or glitches in system, you will receive a new confirmation if there was an online error. A 12 hour cancellation window does apply on error correction confirmations.
If you have booked 3 or more rooms there is a 30 day cancellation period, even if you need to change dates or decrease number of rooms.
