Fishing Cove on the Chesapeake Bay

Fishing cove is an 8-bedroom, 6-bath waterfront house tucked away in a lush pine forest that we rent on a monthly, weekly or weekend basis. Our 2-acre waterfront vacation rental home on Maryland's Eastern Shore is on a very private cove with its own large private dock and 3 boat slips. The house is wheelchair accessible and the main floor has wide doors to accommodate wheelchairs. Easy access by car, or by boat from the Chesapeake Bay. Our large welcoming house has everything you need for a relaxed vacation on the Eastern Shore.

Located on Fishing Creek off the Little Choptank 9 miles from Cambridge, Maryland, we are near Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and our shoreline attracts an amazing variety of waterfowl. We have great bicycling roads: Flat and scenic. Bring your bikes! Bring your boat or canoe to explore the shoreline! Bring your binoculars for close-ups of the bald eagles, herons and other amazing creatures!

We only accept checks or PayPal. For PayPal we must add the 3% administrative fee they charge us. Please disregard the credit card information section that pops up after you have selected your dates. We will confirm your reservation once payment is received.Thank you.

Fishing Cove Rental Agreement

Located at 1675 Town Point Road, Cambridge, MD 21613, 410-901-9544. Fishing Cove vacation house with 8 bedrooms: 5 with queen beds, 3 with twin beds. 6 bathrooms, 2 with whirlpools. Swimming pool, dock, outdoor shower, wood stove. Pool and outdoor shower are closed from late Fall to mid-Spring. Wood stove will not be used from early Spring to late Fall.

Check-in is after 4:00 pm. Checkout is 10:00 am.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:
Central HVAC, Satellite TV, DVD/VCR CD player AM/FM Stereo, Computer, WiFi, Gas grill, washer /dryer, dishwasher. Basic telephone service, long distance in the United States, but not including 411 or other toll calls.

GUEST'S OBLIGATIONS:
You will use all reasonable care to prevent any damage to our home, furnishings, and equipment. In the event any damage does occur, you will be fully responsible for the cost of repair or replacement of any damaged article. Please leave furniture arranged as you found it.

We agree to provide a thoroughly clean home for your use, and you agree to return the home to us in a similar clean condition. Please remove food from and wipe out the refrigerator. Please remove sheets and towels from the bedrooms/bathrooms and leave them near the washing machine.

On your behalf and on behalf of all guests and visitors you agree to release us from any and all claims or injuries arising by reason of your or their use and occupancy of our home, and agree to indemnify, defend, and hold us harmless from any claims or injuries arising by reason of your or their use of these premises, regardless of the source or nature of such claim.

We have placed the following additional conditions on the use of our home:

1. Smoking will not be permitted in the home.
2. No outside fires or Tiki Torches are permitted.
3. Wood stove not in use between April - September months.
4. Children/non-swimmers not permitted on the dock or in pool area without a responsible adult.
5. No glass permitted in enclosed pool deck area. Plastic glasses and plates are provided for pool use.

The owner shall not be held responsible for any damage, loss or theft of the personal effects of the renter or of his or her guest(s) The owner shall not, at any time, be held responsible for an accident occurring on the grounds, swimming pool, dock or beach area or in the house mentioned herein. Renter agrees to observe posted swimming pool rules at all times and to keep pool cover and gates closed at all times when the pool is not in use. In addition, the persons accompanying children have the exclusive responsibility for protecting the well being of said children during their stay. The renter shall hold the owner harmless in the event of an accident.

This document contains the full and complete agreement between us in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland.

We hope the above meets your approval and that your stay during this important time for you and your family is most enjoyable.

RENTAL FEE:
A deposit of 1/3 of the rental amount is required within 10 days of booking, and the reservation shall take effect and be confirmed only once the deposit and signed rental contract are received.

The balance of the rental along with a damage deposit of $500.00 plus cleaning fee of $275.00, plus 6% tax (rental amount only) must be paid in full at the latest 60 days prior to arrival. If applicable, a refund in full or in part of the damage deposit shall be mailed to the renter within a maximum of 10 days following the end of the rental period.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation policy: After reservation payment has been received, the rental is non-cancelable unless re-rented by another party of equal value, in which case a $100 fee will be assessed. No credit shall be given for late arrivals or early departures. In the event of cancellation due to a hurricane or other natural disaster, a full refund will be made.
