Your door code works only during your stay. - Late checkout without our OK may be charged as an extra night. - Stays are limited to 29 consecutive nights. Big Meadow Lodge provides short-term lodging only, and this agreement does not create a tenancy or rental of a residence.

5. House rules - Quiet hours are 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. - No smoking or vaping inside cabins or the lodge. A $250 cleaning fee applies if smoke is found. - Keep the thermostat at 65°F or higher to prevent frozen pipes. Damage from frozen pipes caused by a lower setting may be charged to the guest. - Store food inside and never feed wildlife. - Park only in your cabin's spot or where we direct you.
6. Campfires - Campfires only in the fire rings provided, and only when fire restrictions allow. - Campfires only until 10:00 pm. - Never leave a campfire unattended. - When you're done, pour water or dirt on the fire until it's completely out. Sand and water buckets are by each fire pit.
7. Pets - Dogs are allowed with notice. The pet fee is $50 when the pet is declared at booking, or $100 if not declared. - Pets must be leashed outside, cleaned up after, and crated if left alone in the cabin. - Pets stay off beds and furniture. Extra cleaning or damage caused by a pet is charged under section 8. - Service animals are always welcome and are not charged a pet fee.
8. Damage and card authorization - The guest authorizes Big Meadow Lodge to charge the card on file for damage, missing items, undeclared pets, smoking, or cleaning beyond normal use. - Before any charge, we will send photos and an itemized amount within 14 days of checkout. - Please report anything broken right away. Honest accidents reported during the stay are handled fairly.
9. Safety, outdoor risks and liability - Big Meadow Lodge is a rural mountain property at high elevation. Guests accept the normal risks of that setting: uneven ground, ice and snow, wildlife, sudden weather, altitude, and limited cell service. - Fire pits, grills, stoves and outdoor areas are used at the guest's own risk. Children must be supervised at all times. - Big Meadow Lodge is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to guests' belongings or vehicles. - To the extent the law allows, the guest agrees not to hold Big Meadow Lodge or its owners responsible for injury or loss caused by the guest's own actions or the actions of their group, and to cover any claims those actions cause. - Nothing in this agreement limits our responsibility for our own negligence where the law does not allow it.
10. Entry, ending a stay, and things outside our control - We may enter the cabin for emergencies, urgent repairs, or to check on safety. Except in an emergency, we will knock and try to reach you first. - If a guest seriously breaks these rules, puts people or property at risk, or exceeds the occupancy limit, we may end the stay without a refund. - Power, water, Wi-Fi and road access can be interrupted by storms, wildfire, or utility work. We'll fix what's in our control as fast as we can. Short outages outside our control are not grounds for a refund.
11. Agreement By checking the box when booking online, the guest confirms they have read this agreement and the Big Meadow Lodge policies and agree to follow them on behalf of everyone in their group.
