Thanks for your reservation at the 1899 Inn! We look forward to meeting you soon. Until then, here are a few important things for you to know.

Check-In & Check-Out Times: Official check-in hours are from 2 pm to 6 pm. We're happy to accommodate earlier or later check-ins, but we ask that you please give us a call as soon as possible to let us know when to expect you. Deposit: Shortly after your reservation, we'll charge your credit card for the first night of your stay. (If your reservation coincides with Kool Deadwood Nites or the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, you will instead be charged a 50% nonrefundable deposit. See our cancellation policy for more details.) A separate receipt will be emailed to you. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. .

Cancellation: For most dates, if you wish to cancel your stay more than two weeks in advance of your arrival, we can refund your deposit less a $25 administrative fee. If you need to change your travel plans fewer than two weeks in advance of your check-in date, we aren't able to refund your deposit - but our staff will be happy to help you change your stay to alternative dates, depending on availability. For stays during the official dates of Kool Deadwood Nites or the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, we are unable to refund your initial 50% deposit once your reservation is made, though we may be able to assist with changes to your room or dates, depending on availability.

Children and Pets: We can host children 12 years of age and older in the Main Inn. Younger children are welcome in the two-bedroom cottage suites. We're animal lovers, but sadly, we can't host any pets or emotional support animals.

Stairs: Some of our guest rooms are on the third floor of the house, which requires climbing two flights of stairs. We are happy to help carry bags up, but if you are uncomfortable using stairs, please let us know as soon as possible so we can either ensure you a room on a lower floor or help you find other accommodations.

Breakfast: Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies we should be aware of. We can accommodate most special requests with at least three days notice.

Dogs: Although the innkeepers have dogs on the property, they are never allowed into guest areas.

Historic Quirks: The house was built in 1899, and it's a restoration-in-progress. You may notice some missing trim, sticky doors and cracked plaster here and there. If you don't mind a few historic quirks, it's a great Victorian home in which to stay.

Parking: Parking at the Inn is all off-street, and limited. For parties with more than one vehicle, or those with large trucks or trailers, there is a public lot two blocks from the Inn available for your use. If you have a trailer or other large vehicle, or other concerns about parking, please give us a call so we can discuss options.

For most dates: Shortly after you submit your reservation, we'll charge your credit card for the first night of your stay. If you wish to cancel your stay more than 14 days in advance of your arrival, we're happy to refund your deposit, less a $25 administrative fee. If you wish to change or cancel your reservation less than 14 days in advance of your check-in date, we aren't able to refund your deposit - but our staff will be happy to help you change your stay to alternative dates, depending on availability.

For stays during the official dates of Kool Deadwood Nites and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally: Shortly after you submit your reservation, we'll charge your credit card for 50% of the total cost of your stay as a nonrefundable deposit. The balance due will be charged upon check-in. Although the dates of these special events vary from year-to-year, the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is generally held the first full week of August, weekends inclusive, while Kool Deadwood Nites usually takes place during the last full week of August, from Wednesday through Sunday.
