CANCELLATION Should you decide to cancel your stay, we require 14 days notice before your scheduled date of arrival, to receive a refund on your rental amount, but the deposit amount will still be retained due to cancellation. We must retain the deposit amount, as we must offer a last minute discounted rates to quickly fill that week or weekend with someone else. There will be no refunds on your rental fee should you cancel or adjust to decrease the amount of days for your booking less than 14 days before your check in time as you can understand we have at this point turn customers away since your booking filled this time they were requesting..
DEPOSIT $1500 Pre-authorized via Visa or Mastercard for each cottage rented. If you rented the boat this deposit also will cover damage to the boat. Your deposit will not be taken from your credit card. It will only be pre-authorized with your credit card company for the deposit amount and its record will be destroyed upon clear inspection of the cottage after your stay. However, if there is damage, missing items, or the cottage is left excessively messy. The deposit may be charged to your credit card, so the issues can be repaired, replaced, or cleaned.
PAYMENT By completing this booking online you agree and authorize us to charge the credit card that you provided during your booking, only the rental deposit amount listed above should you cancel your rental with the proper 14 days notice. You also agree that if you cancel your booking less than 14 days before your booking the full rental amount due will be charged to your provided card as there are no refund less then 14 days before your arrival.

SMOKE DETECTOR + EMERGENCY EXITS + FIRE EXTINGUISHER Our smoke detector is tested each change over. Please also ensure to test it by pushing the test button. If it is set off by cooking you can push the HUSH button to silence it. DO NOT REMOVE THE BATTERY OR PERMANENTLY DISABLE. It must be active at all times for your safety. You can use your window as a fire exit by unlocking the window, removing the screen and opening the window all the way to exit. A fire extinguisher is mounted near the exit door.
SEPTIC SEWAGE TREATMENT SYSTEM WARNING The cottage uses a sensitive well and septic system.The septic system CANNOT handle SOLID WASTE or NON-BIODEGRADABLE items that you may dispose of in the city sewers. NO household chemicals, cleaners, coffee grounds, cooking fats, grease, wet-strength towels, disposable or non diapers, facial tissues, cigarette butts, dental floss, sanitary napkins, plastic, latex, Q-tips and other non-decomposable materials. It will destroy the system so please do NOT flush any of these items. Please remind anyone staying here of this. A septic system is very expensive to repair. A simple rule of thumb is, if it’s not toilet paper, or it didn’t come naturally from your body. DO NOT FLUSH IT Place it into a bag and dispose of it in the garbage
GARBAGE If garbage is left here, charges to rectify the situation will be deducted from your security deposit. You are responsible to take everything you have brought with you, including your garbage, bottles and recyclables. Leaving it here will attract bugs and wildlife. Your household garbage, bottles and recyclable garbage can be brought to the garbage compound which is located to the right just before you exit the front gate of Wildwood park. Please ensure to place everything in the bins and NOT outside the bins.
GUESTS If you would like to have guests please ensure they were noted when you made your booking or contact us to add a note to your booking. Our septic, parking and water systems are not designed to handle anyone over the rated maximum sleeping arrangements for an extended period of time.
PRIVATE PROPERTY SURROUNDING THE COTTAGE We have an agreement with Wildwood to use the access road into and out of the property only. Wildwood’s facilities are for their members only and are not part of our property. Please do not allow your children, yourself or your guests to trespass on their property. You’re welcome to drive, walk or bike in and out Wildwood’s main road but please respect the access road and ensure to watch your speed of 15 km/h. Many children walk and play on the road.
CHECKING OUT Please try to leave the cottage as you found it. Meaning put items away, life jackets, water toys, cover the BBQ, wash your dishes, close all windows, shut off all lights and appliances when ending your stay. Use ashtrays outside and place bottle caps in the garbage. Please do not toss them around the grounds. Do not leave empty beer/wine bottles or garbage when you are leaving. Ensure to take everything you brought with you, back home and that the outside grounds around the cottage is as it was when you found it. Leaving garbage outside can attract wildlife and can blow into the forest or lake. Make sure the door is locked when leaving and verify it is closed properly.
Breaking any of the following rules could cause your stay to be ended early without refund. We are very easy going people. All we ask for is use of common sense, respect of the property and our neighbors as you would at your own home.
I agree to protect, indemnify, and defend Lone Pine Cottages; his/her/their authorized agents, representatives, and employees against any and all claims arising from my rental of the above property. This provision includes any expenses incurred by Lone Pine Cottages defending any such claim. I further understand Lone Pine Cottages, his/her/their authorized agents, representatives, and employees will not be held responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged property of mine; the renter or my guests, left in or about the property.
I have read and acknowledged this Rental Agreement and by completing this booking I agree to the Rules, Rental, and Deposit Rates/Fees of this agreement. By completing this booking online, the mandatory check box on the form to the left of the wording "By clicking on 'Make Reservation' below you are agreeing to the Cancellation, Payment & Rental Agreement" was properly presented. The booking could not have been completed without clicking this box, so I agree that I was given proper presentation of this notice and cannot deny that I was not. To further solidify that I was presented with this agreement, a link was also provided to me in my rental confirmation. I have accepted and authorized that the deposit as outlined in this agreement or full rental fee in my booking confirmation may I accept responsibility for any misrepresentations, errors or omissions set out in this Application, and for any violations of the Rental Agreement. I authorize, by booking online for Lone Pine Cottages to charge my credit card the deposit amount or retrieve it from the rental fee should I decide to cancel my booking, if there is damage to the cottage, missing items, or the cottage is left excessively messy. Up to the amount required to repair, replace or clean the damages. I agree that there will be no refund on the rental fee if I decide to cancel less than 14 days before my check-in date or should I break the rules to the point where we must evict you.
