Cavendish Beach Music Festival Policies (if applicable)
We require a $300 deposit, per cottage, which is non-refundable, the balance must be paid 30 days before your arrival, and the length of the reservation cannot be shortened, no refund for early departure. If you need to cancel this reservation, please do so by June 1st or a further charge of $200 will apply. Unfortunately, there are no exceptions to these policies.
Upon check-in, we will ask you for the name of each guest in your cottage or you can provide them to us in advance. The number of people accepted in each cottage model is at our discretion and may be less than the maximum number of people as described on our web site. If under the age of 21, an adult must be present during the entire stay, no exceptions. Also, we will be monitoring the cottages during your stay.
No visitors are allowed on the property during the festival. A wrist bracelet will be put on all guests at check in with the cottage number on it for security on the property.
Upon check-in, a $1000 damage and nuisance authorization will be done on your credit card. This will be fully released upon departure if there are no damages and no nuisance warnings.
So, what does this mean?
With regards to damage, we understand that accidents happen; a glass can get broken for instance. We have never charged for these types of situations. When we speak of damage in this case, we mean willful damage such as tire tracks on lawns, broken furniture, smoking in the cottage, and so on. Should these types of incidents occur, you will be charged replacement and cleaning costs plus any possible lost revenue because of damage.
With regards to the nuisance fee, we understand that you are here for a great time, so we are extending our quiet time to midnight. After midnight, you must be in your cottage, not on the deck. Sound carries all over the property when you are in a quiet rural area such as ours. If you are returning from an event after midnight, we ask that you enter your cottage as quietly as possible. Overly loud behaviour or noise and music on decks or the pool deck is not acceptable at any time.
Our pool is there for your pleasure, but it must be used safely. All beverages MUST be in paper or plastic containers and not taken into the water with you. Food is not permitted in the pool area. Never use a glass container in the pool area. There are no lights in the pool area so it cannot be used after dark, as it is not safe. The pool will be locked nightly at 9 p.m.
We are a family property, so foul language and rowdiness as well as bullying and verbal abuse towards any member of our staff will not be tolerated at any time.
Should any of these incidents occur, you will receive a warning. $200 of the $1000 security deposit will be kept on the second warning and $500 of the deposit will be kept on the third warning. Any further warnings will mean eviction from the property and no refund of the deposit.
