Beautiful log cabin! So scenic and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and hope to do it again. Make sure you have breakfast at Margaret's house!

We enjoyed the our stay very much. Cabin was excellent. Anytime would be a great time to stay, but since the cabin is surrounded by Locust trees, a stay when they are in bloom would be something. We have rented cabins before some good, some bad, but here is a list topper.

We loved out stay at the Round House. Very secluded ... a "quiet" I had forgotten existed. Without a doubt the most well stocked and comfortable cabin we've ever stayed in. George even has an adapter on the stereo to plug in your phone!

This was our second stay at the round house and it was perfect. We mostly enjoy the quiet and serenity of opening all the windows and listening to the birds sing us awake. The accommodations are well equipped and tastefully done and the woods and fields are healthy and well cared for. It's a place we never want to leave. Enjoyed seeing the family of Pileated Woodpeckers and the Luna moth on the screen in the morning. We will be back!

We had a fantastic time at the Round House. This was a guys' trip for me and two of my buddies from college. We were in a band together and took a few days to reconnect, do some writing, and even record a few songs. The Round House fit the bill perfectly. We were spread between Nashville, TN and Pittsburgh, PA, so this was a great halfway point for us. We had a bit of rain the first two days, but that was fine for our purposes. The accommodations were very homey, with enough rustic flair to feel like a cabin and enough luxury that in no way at all we were roughing it. It was very clean and well stocked with dishes, pots, pans, etc. I slept great in the comfy beds. Internet may have been the hardest thing for us. The Verizon cellular connection worked fine, but it's not really sufficient for streaming video. Even though we were, in theory, looking for a few days to disconnect, Facebook/YouTube/etc. is just something we have clearly all become accustomed to. We all had pretty good cell service, though. Sunday, the weather was really nice, so we explored the grounds a bit. What a gorgeous piece of property. The trails took us throughout the grounds, and there were maps to ensure we didn't get turned around. All three cabins have a good amount of separation between them and feel very private. We saw several bass in the fishing pond, although we didn't do any fishing. We did make a brief foray into Cave Hill Cave. If you want to do some caving, my advice would be to bring a good headlamp, helmet cam, and clothes and shoes that are ok to get pretty dirty. I was using my phone as a camera and a flashlight, which made it pretty tough to climb/slink through the slick (and muddy, in parts) rock trenches. I feared I would slip and ruin my phone. This is mostly a long narrow tunnel, so if you have issues with claustrophobia it may not be your idea of a good time. Based on the map I think I made it about halfway through the length of the cave. I would have gone further if I had been better equipped. A very neat natural feature of this property if you are feeling adventurous. This area is pretty remote, so we did not leave the property very much. We stocked up on provisions on our way in and cooked all our own food. We didn't make it to any of the local restaurants so I can't offer any guidance on that front. All in all, we were absolutely thrilled with our trip and have already discussed making a trip back in another year or two. For a relaxing weekend in in a great cabin, give the Round House a try. You won't regret it!

If you enjoy seclusion, rustic and a great view, then this is one of the best cabins near Cincinnati. From the outside the cabin looks like it was built in the 1800s, but it has been nicely updated on the inside with modern amenities creating an excellent combination of the two. The fireplace is the centerpiece of the main floor and George supplied more than enough firewood for the entire weekend. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a home made meal. The king bed in the loft is very comfortable and the down comforter provided ample warmth for the cold nights. Sunrises and star gazing were a real treat with the view from the nearby barn. There are hardly any lights within the view giving you the sense of total country seclusion. George is a true pleasure and ease to work with and exceptionally friendly. I highly recommend this cabin for a romantic getaway for two. We will certainly be returning in the future.

cave hill cabins was the just what we needed to just relax the cabin far exceeded our expectations the huge deck overlooking the pond we took a waik on the trails inside the cabin beautiful wood work my wife had a fire in the fire place each nite there is even a fishing pole there the dodge cabin was just perfect thank you guys we will be back

We had a great time at Dodge Cabin. We get together with friends every year over the MLK holiday weekend. We have stayed in lots of cabins but this was the best. It was super comfortable and cozy. And super clean. It was so well stocked, too. The setting is perfect for getting into the woods for a couple of days. Close to the Edge of Appalachia which has great hiking trails and several nature preserves. We will definitely be back and want to stay all four seasons. A first for our group

We enjoyed every second at the Dodge Cabin. We relaxed and took it easy and had nothing to worry about. The cabin is beautiful, clean and has everything you could want--from soft warm blankets to frying pans and a coffee maker. The fireplace is big and beautiful and we took full advantage of it every night. It was especially nice to be able to bring our dogs. They enjoyed the trip as much as we did! We can't wait to come back when it is warmer to explore the cave and the rest of the property.

We booked our cabin because we love the old rustic style rentals. This place was awesome. I t was a perfect combination of rustic and modern conveniences. Loved the location, loved the kitchen where we could cook, loved the fireplace, loved the loft, especially on a rainy night! . If you are looking for a place to stay, the price is reasonable, the amenities are great and so is the location. I would go back again if I was in the area.

Our stay was great at the log cabin. It is in amazing condition and perhaps nicer than even the photos online. We were able to cook dinner and enjoy a constant fire in the fireplace. George even ordered us cable when there was a football game on a special channel we wanted to watch. It was a great experience and perfect to get away. We plan on returning soon.

I travel for business and the quality your cabin exceeds most hotel rooms I've stayed in! Of the many great aspects of your property, the cleanliness was most impressive. Not only are we long term customers now, we will "selectively" promote your cabins to friends and family. It was great to meet you, albeit brief, and to learn about the area. Stayed two nights, great cabin. Enjoyed the sunsets/sunrises and fire pitt. Star gazing was perfect. Local area antique shops were enjoyable. Every detail was there at the cabin to make our stay perfect. We hope to be back.

We had a short but rejuvenating stay at the beautifully restored log cabin. In two days, we enjoyed the deck, grilled out, made amazing meals in the well-stocked kitchen, hiked to the cave and did a bit of spelunking, hiked the Buzzardroost Trail (thanks for the recommendation George!), and had a fire outside the barn under the Supermoon! Our dog was in heaven romping around the property! Couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Thanks for sharing this lovely place with us.

When my staff said they found a place in Adams County for us to have a get-a-way and evaluation weekend for under $400 per night I was prepared for an older, outdated, no real eminities type of cabin. Boy, was I wrong. The place for first class, clean, very cozy, and well equipped with a great kitchen, dining and family area, as well as very nice and comfortable bedrooms. While we slept four adult couples, the facility is really best for two couples and children. It was beautifully located in the middle of the woods. We loved it and will return when possible.

This was our fourth stay at the Dodge Cabin. The cabin is a perfect place to step away from your busy schedule and just relax. We spent hours both nights sitting on the deck listening to nature. During the day, we walked around the property and visited the local Amish shops. We are looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed for two nights in the Dodge cabin. It was very nice accommodations. We enjoyed walking the grounds to the ponds and exploring the onsite cave (albeit a bit muddy). The sky was very clear giving a beautiful view of the stars. The view from the back deck to the pond was wonderful, and the deck was a great place to sit and enjoy our morning coffee. The cabin was one of the nicest we have ever stayed in.

We recently stayed at the Roundhouse for a short get away and to visit family in the area. The house was well equipt and very inviting. We were able to have a nice conversation with Geoge and get some insider tips on the cave along with a short history lesson about the property. We truly loved our stay and we will definitely be booking again in the future!!!! We highly recommend this house!!

For those looking for a quiet get-a-way, the log cabin at Cave Hill Cabins is ideal. We love the rustic yet modern cabin, the wood-burning fireplace and large front porch, the overall backwoods feel of the place. We always schedule our next visit before we leave, and so look forward to our return from the busy pace of life.

We LOVED our stay at the Round House - this was my second time there and I hope there will be many more! George and Patti have made a beautiful and comfortable place. The scenery is amazing, the house is so beautiful and stocked with everything you could possibly need. I tell all my friends about Cave Hill Cabins :)

We had a wonderful time staying at the Dodge cabin. It was so peaceful! Everything was wonderful!! My husband loved fishing at the pond. Caught several nice size bass. If you are looking for somewhere to get away and relax, this is the place to be. We are excited about going back in Nov. to stay at the Log cabin for our anniversary!

We are delighted we found such a beautiful, quiet, escape pod from our everday. Clean, nicely furnished, aesthetically pleasing, and with the barn, woods, cave, and pond on the premises this was a perfect way to decompress. Only wish it could have lasted longer.

My husband and I stayed at the Dodge Cabin in April '15 and it was a perfect getaway for us. We are from Cincinnati, so it is an easy drive and the property was so beautiful and peaceful. The cabin was very clean and George and Patty supplied it with everything we could need. We had no complaints at all and are already deciding when to go again!

Four of us enjoyed the Roundhouse Lodge immensely. It was clean, quiet, remote, and had all the amenities anyone could need. We were pleasantly surprised to have a complimentary coffee service set up, wine glasses were out (along with a bottle of wine), and the table was set . The bathrooms were very clean and had extra towels available, as well as a few toiletries. The beds were comfortable and the linens were of a good quality. The cabin was spacious enough for all of us to have our own bed and we could nap without disturbing each other or feel like we were crowding each other. The kitchen was huge! There were several places to have a meal or snack inside or outside. We also enjoyed conversations on the comfortable furniture and having a fire each night in the wood burning stove. Although there were movies and a flat screen TV, we never turned it on, but enjoyed the camaraderie that only women can share! We saw some wildlife and hiked around the woods/property and found the lodge to be easily accessible once we traveled the roads a few times. The location was great, too, as we were able to discover many places (shops, restaurants and Amish) in the adjoining towns. Overall, we would give the lodge a 5 star experience and definitely will re-rent in the future.

The cabin was perfect for our weekend! My husband, myself, and our kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the well-stocked kitchen, to the comfortable beds, to the charming fireplace and cozy atmosphere, it was the perfect setting for a weekend getaway.

Thank you so much for a wonderful weekend away. It was so nice to be out of the people and constant noise in Columbus. It snowed just a bit yesterday evening/night and everything looks so beautiful covered in snow. Thank you so much!

We just had to come back for a second stay. We absolutely love it here. We have our third stay scheduled and are talking about a fourth. (We would like to stay for each season at least once.) Once again we had perfect weather. Cold at night which was great for a relaxing time with a crackling fire. Warn enough during the day to grill. Already looking forward to our next stay.

You all have done an incredible job capturing the look and feel of an original cabin, yet keeping all the necessities and amenities we are accustom to. I just can't say enough good things about this lovely place. We just loved it!! A few added touches that I loved were the sconces, the little lamp in the bathroom, all the little candles and candle holders throughout the first floor. They all brought an added romantic side to the cabin."

The lodge is spacious, beautiful, peaceful, and just so relaxing. We scheduled a a few days away to rest and just breathe before the holiday season chaos begins. My dogs were very comfortable, the location was ideal and as hosts, you were so very welcoming! After a very hectic week, it was so nice to be able to relax together at the Dodge Cabin with our two furry kids. The dogs loved running in the fields - you could almost see smiles on their faces. Thank you for being dog-friendly!!! And the cabin had just about everything we needed. Loved, loved the beautiful stone fireplace! It was a beautiful, clean place and I would love to visit again. We feel honored to be the first guests to stay in the Log Cabin. What a beautiful restoration! We love the stillness and peace of the setting, tucked away in its own little sanctuary. We spent many hours enjoying the wood-burning fireplace; and we loved having coffee on the porch and watching the birds. It was great to see George again (we were here in April but stayed in the other cabin [Dodge Cabin] -- also very nice). We can't wait to return -- hoping for a winter retreat in just a few short months. Thanks for all you have done to provide such a wonderful place to rejuvenate.

What a great stay. We arrived Thursday and stayed til Sunday. The lodge was wonderful, tucked back into the woods. What a unique place. It was very quiet and comfortable. We ventured out Saturday to the Herb Festival and had a great time.

This was the perfect location to turn off our phones and computers and unwind. Ben and Bella (my 2 dogs) enjoyed many hiking adventures (including the cave) and my wife Katie really enjoyed the scenery as well. We spent the week flying through books and having great conversation....what a perfect vacation. We would certainly come back again without hesitation. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us.

Waking up in the forest each morning, was delightful! Windows all 'round gave us an outdoor experience, but with the inside comfort of a classy lodge environment. All we required for a week's stay was thoughtfully provided. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Carr!

The owners have thought of everything to make your stay relaxing and memorable. Maps of the land and trails wer provided so it was easy to explore the land, cave, and ponds. Firewood, lighters, and newspaper were conveniently placed right next to the fire pit. They even had marshmallow sticks for toasting provided inside of the cabin. I cannot think of anything that was not available during our stay. It is a wonderful place to stay. We will be back!
