Great Stay
The Inn at Crossroads has such historic significance, I felt as if we were stepping back into history. The room was spacious & the bed was comfortable. Breakfast each day was different, but each one was delicious. Really good stay. We plan to come back again!

Perfect fall visit!
We absolutely loved the Americana Suite with its historical decorations (including locks of Lincoln and Washington's hair!)! The Inn is charming and relaxing. But even more than that, we enjoyed the above and beyond hospitality from Jim and Janet. Thank you for greeting us when we arrived and helping us find food that night, even though it was late, and for wonderful advice about what to do in the area. The period-specific breakfast was incredible. Thank you for helping to make our anniversary special!

Fantastic stay!!!!!
I can't say enough good things about our stay at The Historic Crossroads Tavern Inn. We will be back any chance we get. The friendly family operating the Inn and the history rich property was the highlight of our trip.

Fantastic Get Away
We had a fantastic surprise get away at The Historic Crossroads Tavern Inn. We were able to get a room, Summer Kitchen Cottage, at the last minute, and found the Inn to be extremely comfortable and quite. It was great to recharge our batteries. What started out to be a one night stay, turned into two and almost three (had previous plans). The Inn provided easy access to the Blue Ridge and Skyline Drive, which was fantastic, since we rode our Harley. Jim and Janet were the best hosts and very knowledgeable about the Inn and surrounding area. It was nice to have NO TV for a night or two, very peaceful. The breakfasts were outstanding and visiting with the other guest was a lot of fun. Enjoy your visit, if you get the opportunity. We definitely want to return.

Just as great as last time!
When an unexpected opportunity came up to meet our son in Charlottesville, we were delighted to discover that our favorite room was available for the night - the Tavernkeepers Suite. We booked our son in the Americana Suite, which he absolutely loved! Jim greeted us upon arrival (with Max and Yang in tow) in his usual friendly manner and welcomed us warmly. Our rooms were wonderful and the views of the surrounding farmland are breathtaking. In the morning we had a delightful breakfast and shared great conversation with Jim. Staying at the Inn is like a warmly awaited homecoming. We will be back soon!

Wonderful stay!
We had a wonderful stay. Very quiet and peaceful. The innkeepers were very friendly. The breakfasts were delicious, and the conversation with other guests was great. I would recommend the inn to anyone who wants a "laid back" experience, off the beaten path although close to a lot of antiques, wineries, and historic attractions.

Thanks for Everything
I wanted to thank you for everything you did for us during our stay there. The Inn is great and since the three of us are history buffs, it was an honor to stay at such a historic place. We thoroughly enjoyed Jim's explanation of the construction of the Inn and the things you had to do to maintain and upgrade it. And I also wanted to thank you again for letting me leave my trailer there while we toured Monticello.

Perfect stay!
I was looking for a unique place, with charm, ambience, nice people, lovely surroundings, peace and quiet, comfortable room and bed, good breakfast, nice place to walk. the Inn surpassed all those, and more... Jim and Janet are perfect hosts, the breakfasts were so good. I felt nothing but welcomed at all times, and it was nice to have a place my son and his wife could come and visit me, as well.

Awesome Bed and Breakfast
My family and I stayed at the Inn at the Crossroads,we had a great time. Jim and Janet were the perfect innkeepers. The inn was absolutely georgeous! Food was delicious, all the history that Jim shared with us was outstanding, two of my family members were in for a treat because they had never stayed at a bed and breakfast before, this inn was the perfect one for they're first. The reason for coming was to go to Waltons Mountain museum, which we did and it was great! I would highly recommend the Inn at the Crossroads to anyone traveling to Virginia. Thanks again Jim and Janet for making our stay so enjoyable.

Unique
Very enjoyable stay, most unique place we have stayed due to age and history of building. Very comfortable room, very nice bathroom. Our hosts were exceedingly kind. Breakfast tended to be heavier than I like, but were very good.

Had a wonderful time!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Tavern Inn. We chose the Tavern from a list of other options and are very happy with the hospitality shown us. In addition to the delightful room (with comfy bed!), the breakfasts were yummy and got us off to our days' adventures. Jim offered several great tips about dinner places and best routes for getting around the area. We also enjoyed learning a bit of the history of the Tavern and its ongoing restoration ... that made our stay even more meaningful. And the grounds of the Inn offered a great walk in the morning or to cap the evening. We'll be looking forward to another visit when we get back to the Charlottesville area. And we've already mentioned the Inn to friends who may want to visit as well!

Lovely family-friendly bed and breakfast
My family recently stayed at the Inn while attending a family reunion. The accommodations were perfect for our large group of 12. My immediate family, including three young children, stayed in the child-friendly Summer Kitchen while the others stayed in rooms in the main house. There are not many bed and breakfasts that will accommodate children, but Jim and his family welcomed us to the Inn. The separate building we were housed in was perfect for our needs and the Inn is well located for all activities in the area. The kids enjoyed playing outside on the grounds of the Inn.
