Wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our stay at the Inn very much! The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were some of the best we have had at an Inn/B&B in a long time! Most importantly, the Innkeepers were fantastic and made us feel very welcome. Plus the location next to one of our favorite wineries, Pippin Hill Farm, can't be beat! We would definitely stay here again!

Great Location
We had a great stay! The inn is adorable and historic. The option for on site breakfast was very nice and a great asset. It was hot outside and the window AC mostly kept up. Everything was clean and comfortable. We would stay again!

Fantastic Week-end
Hello Matt & Joe! We have returned to our home in Mooresville, NC with the best memories of a wonderful week-end with you at the Inn. First and foremost, we want you both to know how much we appreciate each of you. Your hospitality and personal desire to make sure that our every need was met were greatly appreciated. At first we were like, "no TV" but soon realized that we wouldn't have enjoyed our time to rest & relax with a squawk box in the room. So thank you for no TV distraction to our R&R. Joe, each breakfast was amazing; beautiful, delicious, fresh and plentiful. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the historical Inn. Matt, You went the extra mile to make certain that the Wedding Reception Director was aware of my immunocompromised status and need to remain outdoors during the reception events. Truly, we had the best seat at the revenue. A generous table with cloth, candles and flowers was set up on the veranda and we enjoyed our fabulous meal while watching the sunset over the beautiful mountains surrounding us. We were treated like royalty by so many hostesses with great conversation and service. Without reservation, we will definitely recommend a trip and stay at The Crossroads Inn and visits to Pippin Farms and Vineyards. Thanks for making our week-end a fantastic and memorable event to reflect on for years to come.

We discovered Pippin Hill in 2015
We have experienced everything (Zero George, Cannon Green, Red Pump, cooking classes, wine tastings, vintners table, Cooking with Vincent, etc.) Pippin Hill has offered over the years and have been absolutely thrilled with each and every experience. When we heard the news about the little inn down the road we jumped at the opportunity to stay. Matt and Joe were spectacular! The inn is amazing. We will return again for a longer stay with our friends. Tim & Ronna

Absolutely the best stay.
I wasn't a big fan of B & B's but one of the friends we were going with was really hoping for a B & B, so the search began and finding ones that offer less than two nights was a challenge to begin with and we were getting a late start in looking on top of that. We truly lucked in to this gem and lucky we were. Man what a great spot, great hosts, beautiful space to relax in, clean, clean, clean and I could just go on about this spot. We are going back just for the B & B and we'll figure out the rest after that. Thank you for a lovely time and a beautiful place. Oh did I mention the food? Shame on me I can't tell if this was the best thing because everything was so fantastic! But a truly yummy and well thoughtout breakfast. I was full and ready for winery visits. Accommodating to Vegetarians and Gluten-free if needed. I can't wait to return. Thank you again for a truly wonderful experience that has sold me on B & B stays.

Beautiful setting, historic with modern comforts
We thoroughly enjoyed our first stay at the Inn at the Crossroads. The property is really beautiful, full of trees, flowers, birds and butterflies. Jim is a truly gracious host. We stayed in the Tavernkeeper's Suite, which has a spacious sitting room and bedroom with very comfortable king bed and a completely updated bathroom with double shower. The weather was unusually hot and humid, but the air conditioning worked great. We loved sitting on the rocking chairs on the deck, from which one can watch fireflies and moonlit skies. Highly recommended.

Wonderful Place to visit!
We were very pleased with our stay. Jim met us at the car to help with luggage before we even got out. His knowledge of the history of not just the Inn, but also the local history and culture was spectacular. Very nice accommodations and exactly what we were looking for! The breakfast in the morning was awesome and very unique. Very much looking forward to our next visit!!

Sanctuary!
One of the best B and B stays ever. Jim and Janet are outstanding hosts. Enjoyed chatting with them at breakfast and on the STUNNINGLY beautiful property The house history emanates from every room. Beautiful views. Walked the grounds, through the vineyards, up to Pippin Hill, chatted with the chickens and vegetable gardener at that property. Everywhere you look, nothing but peace, tranquility, natural beauty. A different world far away from hustle and bustle. Thank you, Jim and Janet, for a truly wonderful stay. See you again!

Our stay at the Inn
Jim and Janet were great hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay with them. Being our 1st time in Charlottesville we relied on Jim's advice and suggestions for what to do and where to go. We were able to jump right in and begin exploring. The Inn is beautiful and cozy. Breakfast is fantastic and a nice experience. For those looking to do the winery tours, the location cannot be beat. For those looking to stay in a historic Inn, this is the place.

Awesome Weekend
Jim and Janet - thank you for your hospitality, the wonderful accommadations, and delicious breakfasts! We throughly enjoyed the eclectic WWI themed room with the fine details in the decor and the very comfortable king sized bed! Your location, because we came to visit wineries and cideries, was ideal! We left rejunvinated for the month ahead! Thank you for your attention to detail and welcoming attitude! Jim, thanks for the local expertise on where and when to go to see things! Janet, not a french toast fan, usually, but really enjoyed your version! We will be back!

Comments/suggestions
We felt comfortable during our stay. Sharing the history of the area and the people was very interesting, adding a degree of color and fun to our morning. The breakfasts were fabulous coupled with the history of each dish. My one suggestion for the room would be to add a mirror in the bedroom, so that one could check appearance while someone occupied the bathroom.

History and comfort and hospitality
Jim was at our car door before we could even get out with a welcoming smile and an offer to help us unload. Since we were two women traveling alone we really appreciated this. We stayed in the Tavernkeepers Suite which was just perfect for our needs. Even though close to the highway, we didn't hear a sound from the outside. The setting was gorgeous in the rolling Albemarle County hill country. The suite includes a spacious living room, bedroom and bath. Breakfast was really good with coffee cake baked in a woodstove, bacon cooked to perfection, fruit and a wonderful version of french toast like Thomas Jefferson would have eaten. Jim helped us plan our activities for the day and filled us in on happenings in the community and a lot about the history of the area also. I would love to stay here again. Thanks so much Jim for being such a good host.

Hospitality with History
The Inn at the Crossroads is a wonderful mix of history and hospitality. The fact that we slept in a room where Thomas Jefferson held an historic meeting with Martin Van Buren was almost overwhelming. Jim is a most gracious and informative host and made our stay very enjoyable. The Inn is conveniently located near many points of interest, including excellent wineries and historical sites. Highly recommend!

Great Stay
Our stay at the Inn at the Crossroads was everything we anticipated and more. Jim and his wife were very hospitable and looked after us as if we were their little children. Even coming out to meet us late at night when we arrived from our day's events. I would highly recommend that if you are in the area, you have to stay at the Inn at the Crossroads. You won't regret it. Thanks Jim and wife (sorry, don't remember wife's name).

Amazing Stay and Hospitality
We stayed in the Summer Kitchen and could not have been more pleased with our time at the Inn. Jim was a great host and the unit is impeccable. Built in the 1800s with a modern bathroom - what more can you ask for in such a beautiful part of the country. We will be back!

Delightful stay!
Great getaway for two nights. When aware of some of our astronomical interests, Jim put us in touch with a local observatory which had an historically interesting telescope. Breakfast was delicious. Good quiet location for exploring the area, particularly Charlottesville and Monticello.

What a wonderful spot to use as a home base for exploring the Charlottesville area. We particularly enjoyed the wealth of information the innkeeper had about the history of the inn and the surrounding area. It really felt like we were becoming part of history in the Tavernkeepers Suite. Will certainly recommend it to any family or friends coming to the area. Thanks for a great stay!

Wonderful inn, wonderful innkeepers
This lovely inn is full of comforts and historical significance. Our Americana suite was spacious and filled with mementoes from World War I, Lincoln, and Washington. The inn's sitting room and porch with rocking chairs also were welcoming. Jim and Janet could not have been more gracious and helpful. Jim greeted us and gave us a thorough orientation, as well as excellent dinner and hiking suggestions. They also prepared a delicious breakfast every morning served with warmth and good cheer. New Experience - Want to Recreate It!
My partner & I stayed two nights recently in the Inn - upon getting in (we were a late arrival), Jim promptly greeted us & got us acclimated regarding our immediate surroundings - including a great recommendation for a dining spot, which did not disappoint! Breakfast was terrific (I hadn't had period correct recipes that were as tasty as this before), as was the conversation accompanying it. The accommodations were great - staying in an historic site was an experience I'd like to repeat. To know that some of our founding fathers actually stepped foot in the Inn is just a really cool thing to think about. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Inn to anyone planning to stay in Charlottesville. We just wished we'd had a longer stay there!

MEMORABLE STAY
Thank you for one of my most memorable stays at an inn/hotel/b&b. I enjoyed the the inn's historical fell as well as its serene environment. The inn's style was rustic and very authentic. The environment offered lots of fresh air and beautiful views. Our suite was roomy and warm. I also enjoyed Jim's recounting of the inn's many histories. And I appreciated the gluten-free meals as well as Jim's assistance to revive my dead car battery on the day of our departure.
